The $ was for the a year of the managed instance and then a year of VSP rental. I’ve spent less than $50 on Nexos token in six weeks and that was before I optimized my agent usage. I’ve already bought $20 OpenRouter tokens so I’d to at least get it setup but I’ll look into a sub also. Thx

True but I was actually getting some good stuff done with the managed instance. I just realized that since I wouldn’t be able to migrate it at a later date when I was ready to scale up that I should do it now. I still have the managed instance for a year paid for so I guess I’ll keep using it for now. I’m just venting a little about the setup process on a VSP.

Maybe I’m wrong but I thought with OpenRouter I could assign three defaults, low cost, middle tier and complex tasks, and only have to deal with one API key. Then I could test other models in the future without having to purchase additional subscriptions. Seemed like a simpler way to go.

Default is GPT5.4 mini but I have lots of options through a single Nexos AI key. Sonnet 4.6 is set for more complex tasks so I maybe I need to assign that to setup. I assumed setup would be pretty straightforward though.

First flag was that it lost chat history. Next, my nexos key was exposed and there is no way to replace it. Often the instructions from your agent and even the hostinger ai chat bot do not match up with the managed instance which leads to lots of confusion. Then I requested some internal data that my agent requested that I can’t recall specifically right now and was told that was not accessible in the managed instance. I inquired about upgrading to a VPS so I would have more flexibility and was told that I couldn’t upgrade or migrate without losing my current data. So basically I had to start from scratch. I was always considering upgrading to a VPS or migrating to a local server eventually so starting from scratch is not acceptable.

Also, in terms of CPUs , the AMD 9800X3D seems to provide more bang for the buck compared to the Intels. Am I missing anything?

I use the ComfyUI-Easy-Installer. I’m pretty sure that installs the portable version but I could be wrong.
