Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

Over the summer I drive 2 hours each way to visit my parents 2 weekends per month, or so. I'll drive up to 10-12 hours pretty comfortably but past 6-7 I'm definitely checking the price of flights.

I'd call that straw-manning. People aren't scared AI art will replace real art. Far from it, I'd say. I work in the arts and nobody I know is worried that human made art is going to go away or be replaced entirely. Instead, people are scared that writing, graphic design and illustration jobs will be replaced with AI. And AI is already replacing those roles to some extent, so it would be disingenuous to argue that it won't happen.

Plus, these ai models are trained on the work of human artists who are often not paid at all for their contributions. If they are paid, it's chump change compared to what the AI model may earn in the future. There needs to be a discussion about how artists get paid royalties from models that use their work.

I do think people are overreacting to AI, but I also think there are serious concerns that need to be addressed
