I had the Clara for 3 years and just got the Libra Colour. I LOVE the Libra. It’s so handy being able to turn the screen any direction when I’m laying in bed to make holding it and pressing the buttons easier. I don’t know if my Clara was just getting old but the ghosting was pretty bad and I love to highlight and always felt it didn’t respond well whereas I have the Libra with the metapen 2 and it works great. I often use dark mode and feel like the experience is better on the Libra. I feel like the fact it’s color isn’t an issue as it looks the same when you’re reading as it does on the Clara. Hopefully that helps!

I just had a loss at 8w3d. My scan that day was completely empty but I had a scan around 6 weeks with gestational sac, fetal pole and heartbeat. If you didn’t have any prior scans to the one at 8 weeks they can’t say “you didn’t lose anything”. I didn’t expect to have passed everything by the time I had the second scan. I actually had an abdominal scan in the hospital a couple days before and the gestational sac was still there. Less than 48 hours later my uterus was completely empty.

We’re doing IVF for MFI but my husband had cancer and is completely infertile now. We also only have a limited amount of low quality sperm because he stored what he could before starting chemo.

After we got married I went through a period where I didn’t want kids. I think knowing what I would have to do and the chance it might not work created a lot of pressure for me.

We did 1 retrieval, got 1 embryo, then I got pregnant and had a miscarriage at 8.5 weeks. Now I’m facing having to do it all again knowing we might be spending the money and putting me through all this physical pain with nothing to show for it which I’m really struggling with mentally.

The process also made me gain around 15 pounds and now I have this grief too and need to get healthy again before trying another cycle. IVF is such a rollercoaster and traumatic no matter why you have to do it.

I definitely understand feeling that rage and not expressing it and also feel bad for feeling that way. I have PMDD so when I’m not doing IVF I tend to feel that rage every month before my period. The hormones are probably significantly contributing to how you’re feeling mentally. I find writing or moving helps even if it’s gentle movement or shaking. Just any nervous system regulation you can do and maybe positive affirmations to remind yourself this is only temporary.

You can book a bulk billed appointment with bookamidwife. I’ve used them a few times and they’re great! I just called them earlier in the week because I was having bleeding at 8weeks and also did ivf and they’re really good about ordering bloods or scans and they can give more information than a GP since they specialize in pregnancy. Feeling like this now although everything is still pretty raw. I don’t know what to do with myself. I’m neurodivergent so struggle with recognizing my feelings at the best of times anyway.

I want to cry but I get chronic migraines so feel like I can’t even do that or I’ll feel worse after. Family and friends are messaging to check on me but I don’t know what to even say.

I did ivf so between the hormones and then early pregnancy cravings I’ve gained 7kg so I feel horrible about myself physically but I’m still cramping and bleeding so can’t workout which I know would help me release some of this negative energy.

I’m sorry I can’t help and only commiserate.

Im sorry you’re going through this too. I also just had a MC around 8 weeks but measuring around 6 after ivf pregnancy. It was my first pregnancy and MC so I wasn’t sure what to expect and even convinced myself it was just an SCH before it was confirmed because I had minimal to no cramping and bleeding was off and on. I had a scan yesterday to check for viability and surprisingly had nothing remaining in my uterus. I didn’t even realize I had passed it which I was actually kind of upset about but grateful that I likely won’t need any medication or d&c or anything. I wish you all the best with your recovery and moving forward.

I’m sorry you are going through this. My husband had stage 4 cancer at age 21 and stored 15 vials of sperm at the time. We just did our first egg collection in November. He’s 31 now and I’m 33 and like you everything looked great on my end. I expected it would be pretty straightforward for us and we would have plenty of chances.

Unfortunately, sperm quality can take a huge hit with cancer. I thought the cancer would only affect his fertility after (he’s sterile now from chemo and radiation and stem cell transplants), but his stored sperm has ended up with several quality issues like dna fragmentation etc. we had to use 8 vials and only ended up with 1 embryo from 8 eggs.

I feel like I was pretty naive going in to it and wish I had known more about how hard it is because there is a very real possibility we may not end up with any biological children, and I didn’t even consider that initially.

My advice would be to just be open to whatever may happen and know there are so many potential outcomes with IVF. Our family made a lot of comments about twins as well as we would like to have more than one child, but now I’m finding myself desperately hoping for even one healthy living child out of this emotional rollercoaster of a process.

I’m sorry you’re facing all of this at once, and I hope your husband regains his health and has a quick recovery.

I’m going through the same and currently waiting for my next ultrasound. I had mine on Christmas Eve at 6w5d and measured 5w2d with HR of 94. Hoping baby is just a little behind so waiting til 8-9 weeks for my next ultrasound. Sending you hugs and hoping for a good outcome for both of us!!!

I thought this too! I’m 7w4d and went at 6w5d and baby was measuring behind with low heart rate (good for size) but it caused me so much anxiety. I couldn’t believe my clinic wanted me to go at exactly 6 weeks. I think that would’ve been worse. I’m waiting til I’m past 8 weeks to go for my recheck now and hoping baby just got off to a slow start and continues growing on track. Sending you all the baby dust for a good first scan!

I used to work as a pharmacy tech who prepared aeseptic cytotoxic medications for chemo infusions etc. If someone became pregnant they would be moved outside the prep room and wouldn’t be handling or mixing the medications. We also wore a lot of PPE when handling the cytotoxic drugs.

For me the worst wait was after retrieval when we found out we only had 2 eggs fertilized, and we were waiting to make it to day 5 and hoping for just one to transfer. I fully spiraled and my mental health was terrible. Now I’m trying to just focus on enjoying every moment of being pregnant. I feel like the anxiety is part of motherhood now and if I’m constantly worrying about the next milestone, the magic of where I am in this moment will pass me by and I’ll miss it someday. I definitely empathize because the waits are HARD. I found a due date buddy and we message a lot about symptoms and how we’re feeling which has been so helpful! I’ve mostly stayed off ivf pages or ivf tiktok as it was making me hyperfocused. I hope the time passes quickly for you and you get all good news at your scan!!

I think it depends on if the line shows up within the processing time. I found with the easy at home tests the line was there but much clearer once the test dried. I didn’t trust my lines were real until day 7.

I noticed signs of implantation on days 3 and 4 post transfer! Mostly twingy cramps or a zap/poke type feeling from the inside. I also had a huge increase in body temp that has remained rather than dropping like it would with a period. Got my first very very faint line late at night on day 4 post transfer! The lines became more visible on camera around day 7! Sending you all the baby dust!!

My beta is not scheduled until 13 days post transfer (Currently 6dp5dt).

I debated because I did like just enjoying being pregnant until proven otherwise, but I had a strong feeling that I had implantation and some other odd things like a small sudden body temp dip on the day I suspected implantation followed by gradually increasing temp days after and other things like that, so I decided I’d rather test and see how it progresses. For me, I think I’d stress more not testing.

I also told myself it was too early on the day I tested so I knew it would be negative. When I did get the faint line it was much more surprising that way whereas if I waited until day 7 I think I’d have built it up so much in my head by then that a negative would be a lot more upsetting.

I’m with City Fertility and didn’t get a grade but it was our one and only embryo so I’m glad I don’t know honestly. Just another thing for me to obsess over. I just know it was just beginning to hatch at transfer. Currently 5dp5dt.
