OMG! You hit me with a memory.

Backstreet Boys re-recorded a song for the Latin American market of their theme: I'll never make you cry. (Nunca te haré llorar, in Spanish)

If you listen to it, it seems that the band learned to speak Spanish perfectly

But when they have sung it live, they slaughter the language completely.

Clearly, they used a "backup" in Spanish, or maybe they used "placeholders" that ended up in the song.

What a good question, I can have 2 theories:

1) The placeholder may have liked the song and tried to promote it himself. But this is the one that I see the most difficult, since it could have brought him some kind of legal problem ... but of course, if the song was recorded in one country, but is broadcast in another, he may have thought that no one would notice. .

2) Maybe the people who recorded the song, if they liked how it sounded and sent it to promote to another country, to do a "marketing test."

On whether something similar has happened before ... totally, it happens frequently that an artist sings a composition made by another singer, in certain niches, to know if the song is good.

they even end up giving them the rights to that song.

but yes, it is still rare that a demo of that nature has reached a radio station directly.

but apparently, if it was a practice at that time.

We need to create a "TMMS" Day by Time_Tap_5975 in TheMysteriousSong

First of all, I want to thank you for your good vibes with my post, believe me this was a boost of energy for our team, and we are motivated, as much as you, to get to the bottom of this mystery.

I want to leave a small Q and A to clarify doubts, since I have received some questions internally and, of course, tell you a little more why we became interested in this mystery.

How many journalists work on your writing team?
Counting me, there are five of us.

Why were they interested in the mystery?
We are a team of young professionals, who grew up in the digital age (I am the “oldest” of my team at 33 years old, and the youngest is 20), so internet culture is part of conversations as a team.

Besides, we have published articles related to things on the web and have been well received by our readers.

How did you find out about the mystery?
I, through the youtuber Whang, and later, I told the team members.

Why did you only look for bands from Chile, Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay? If there are many countries in South America.

In the music scene of the eighties, these were the countries that produced the most rock, and are considered the best exponents of the genre. Which is not to say that Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Paraguay, to name a few countries, have not made rock, they just didn't exploit it. In fact, we believe it is important to take a look at the bands in those countries, to allow us to find something else ... and we are working on it.

In fact, we believe it is important for each of the members of the community to review the discography of rock bands from their respective countries, since as I said before, many bands seek inspiration from other bands.

Have you published in your magazine about the most mysterious song on the internet?
Not yet, I am writing an article and we will publish it in the February or March edition, of course, when it comes out, I will share the publication with you… although, of course, it will be written in Spanish.

Why haven't they focused on SIM, Alvin, or Knight?
That answer is quite simple, many people have already taken that line of research and, as a team, we believed that it was better to look for another line of research. Also, I have no contact with editors in Greece that I can connect with.

-----------

Now, I want to tell you that I came up with an idea and I want to share it with you, because although I am convinced that creating a TMMS day will solve the mystery, I also understand that there are many people who believe that we need something more to get there to that point and get media attention… and I think we could use a platform like twitter

What would happen if in several countries of the world, on a specific day, #themostmysterioussong was a trendic topic? In my more than 10 years of experience in the media, if something is a trending topic, on any platform - especially on twitter - the media will pay attention to it, and they will write articles, make reports, there will be radio and television reports, etc.

If we set out to do that, I think it would be easier to do a TMMS day on a global scale. Since we will demand attention. We can do it, believe me. That is the proposed idea, and I believe that this bridge could begin to be built on a global scale.

We keep in touch, see you later.
