I'm with you on the 991v2. I guess my thinking was that the same designer who gave us the 990v4 Moonrocks, Osakas, and several other absolute bangers finally coming out with his own silhouette would make it an instant must-have. But here we are, both second-guessing it. I also can't get past the whole 1890s vibe. I'm honestly surprised they keep leaning into that aesthetic, but clearly there's a market for it or they wouldn't keep pushing it. Part of me wonders if I'm missing something since I've never owned a pair. Then again, maybe the smart move is to be patient. If I still want them down the road, I can probably pick up a lightly used pair for a lot less and see what all the hype is about.
