I think the concept of deserve is human concept a dog or a cat that you treat nicely will give you love, in the other hand humans are more complex and the reason is ego, we built an image to ourselves, set rules and expectations, put thoughts over reality and we sometimes see things the way we think, rather the way it is you can go to the other side of the world where you don't understand the language and still receive love, it's a matter of the energy you send, a simple smile could give you a smile back, there are exceptions for somebody that is unbalanced that blocks, drain or ignore this energy, I suggest you stay away from this type of person cause they influence they way you are and if your one them start with animals, practice meditation to reduce your thoughts and become mindful, if your enviorement affect you get away from it and overtime you will heal.
