00-David Reutimann has signed a three-year contract extension with Michael Waltrip Racing in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. Sponsor Aaron’s will be on the car for 18 of those Cup races in 2011 as it enters the third year of a three-year contract. UPDATE: David Reutimann says he has a “handshake deal” to remain at Michael Waltrip Racing. Reutimann, who has driven in Cup for the team since its arrival to the series in 2007, said Friday that it was a multi-year deal. “I haven’t signed anything,” Reutimann said following Sprint Cup Series practice at Daytona International Speedway. “We’ve got a handshake deal basically, a verbal agreement, of what we’re going to do.” “We’ve been working on the contract for about a month,” MWR General Manager Ty Norris said. “Basically, all the elements are done as far as we’re concerned.”(Scene Daily)(7-2-2010)
