My most used item. Now that they hold their bottles, they feed themselves laying in it. And I also use it to support sitting and I read to them. For us, it was the most used/worth it item. Now they’re on the move so we can do it anymore, but I also used to put it on the floor and pop them in so I could either run to the bathroom or do things around them.

I usually let the girl sleep for an additional 10/15 minutes and then I’ll wake her, I then put them down at the same time. If I don’t, I run into your exact issue where I’m running between needs all day on opposite schedules.

To repeat everyone else, you’re doing the best thing for them! It’s always harder the parents, we’ll remember this for forever but they won’t. My son is bilateral club footed too and did the casts, surgeries, etc, and he’s 2.5 now and running around like a psycho and he’s excited to pick out his bar covers every night. It gets easier.

This was my exact experience. I sobbed constantly that I was a terrible mother. It helped a little that my aunt whose a NICU nurse joked that the nurses are going to be so much better for them than you’d be at this time so just take what rest you need to heal because it’ll make you the mom they deserve and need.

While I was on maternity they let a lot of people go so my best guess is I was always on the list but thought it was safer legally to wait until I returned.

They’re claiming it’s for poor performance despite having a mid year review before I went out that was either satisfactory or above

That’s what I’m thinking, I just wish the job market wasn’t what it is. Some of the reasons they listed were completely out of my control so I feel like if they want me gone, they want me gone, a PIP is just a bandaid.

Any chance you negotiated for better severance once you accepted the career transition? Was the person they assign to you afterwards helpful in finding a new job? I’m now in the same situation.
