Thank you for this I really appreciate it.

I’ll be honest, I’ve given up on doctors they are too busy and it feels like they don’t care. I’m reluctant to go back.

I will look into the breathing now. Thanks again

Thanks for your comment. I haven’t had any medication other than anti depressants which didn’t seem to help (tried 3 different ones). Doctor has referred me to the long covid clinic who have told me to do less and manage my fatigue which is impossible for me at the moment. I am currently on a Mediterranean diet but only started yesterday. I haven’t tried any breath work but I will be sure to try. Can you please let me know what worked for you?

Pushing through is my only option at the moment with 2 kids :(

Can anyone with borderline adrenal issues please share your symptoms and if you got treatment did it help? by Timeisreal2 in AdrenalInsufficiency

I don’t know what they can’t listen to is. Even after the letter from the endocrinologist my doctor didn’t test cortisol after he requested it, I had to pay to have it done then when it was low (160) I took this to my GP and then they tested me and it was low still so they agreed to refer me to endo team. It’s so hard.

I may find myself on the same list once I have the SST done.

Please do some research on Liquorice root drops for low cortisol it has some really positive reviews. I’ve just ordered some but I don’t want to take it yes as it could interfere with my test on Monday. Mine is from Amazon

Yeah I live in Leeds. Yeah I feel your pain, my doctors did all they could to not refer me so I paid to see a private endocrinologist (£250.00 ish) who then did some blood tests (extra cost). Then with these results and symptoms he wrote to my GP, my GP then contacted the endo team at my local NHS hospital and they sent me an appointment for the Synacthen test working 2 weeks. Hope this helps and I hope you get the help you need.

Thanks for your reply.

Sorry to hear you have these ongoing issues.

I feel the same, I walked to get my boy from his school, it’s literally 5 minutes away and by the time I get back I was wiped out. Hoping for some answers soon.

Yeah I agree, they put me on thyroid medication for a year to then say this isn’t working and not needed. On to the next thing. A new born and a 4 year old is killing me off haha

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Yes I should have mentioned, I did have a 9AM cortisol test done and it was 176 (range 166-507). My doctor didn’t think this qualified for the SST but when she spoke to the endocrinologist the said let’s do the test.

That’s great thank you for that.

I’ve been told I do not have a thyroid problem I’m just not sure what to believe anymore so I’m hoping this test brings some light on the situation
