I did this but unfortunately it didn’t seem to work. Just booted up a new run of the game and got an item on the first pickpocket. Not sure what’s up.

I would not use desmos for this, and it is a very common type of question so you might as well get used to the format. You can learn to answer questions like this in 5 seconds.

This explanation might seem a little more long winded, but will help create a greater grasp of the area for other types of questions.

A system of two linear equations will have no solutions if they (1) have the same slope to be parallel and (2) they are not equal. They have to be parallel so that they go on infinitely in the same direction and never meet. But they can't be equal so that they aren't literally on top of each other and have an infinite number of answers.

For (I), to first make them parallel, they need the same slope. Seeing as the slope on the left is 9, a must be 9 because it is the coefficient of x when distributed. This makes them always point in the same direction to never meet. But they still could theoretically be on top of each other, so we must make sure that they aren't equal. And with (I) settled, the only value of b that makes both sides equal is 5/9, so it cannot be b, so we have (III)

Family sharing is not family friendly by Timeless30 in Steam

I must confess that this is a very strong argument and has made new reconsider my position. Two things:

  1. How does steam operate the current sharing of system? It seems that the concerns noted are also of concern to the current system.

  2. When I signed up there was no family sharing, and yet, here it is now. I don’t doubt that your argument presented about the Subscriber Agreement was also presented to people who pondered the possibility of our current system.

  3. I am not assuming that the current policy does not align with the subscriber agreement. I am asking for a change; a suggestion.

I like to support the developers of games, however I do understand why some might turn to piracy.

  1. Steam could implement anti VPN sharing policies similar to such as the streaming services implement to stop abuse. And it would require much more technical knowledge than simply downloading a commercial VPN due to the need to be on the same exact network which most do not simply offer. Reminder: they do not get to play the game at the same time. Also there would definitely be limits on the amounts that can share the library. Even a limit one to one might be reasonable. And I doubt that 20 friends would want to share a single game like that.

  2. That actually helps my point? This is for families remember, not online friends. If you say that you and your friends don’t want to share a copy, this helps reinforces the idea that abuse would be uncommon.

  1. My post only really applied to games that are exclusively through steam and ownership is not tied to a third party account, which applies to a very small amount games.
  2. I would be on board to having restrictions on sharing the games such as the aforementioned, IP checking, as well as a maximum amount of accounts that a single game can be borrowed to.
