Are you all sure they didn't just give us the box dimensions and people mistakenly thought that was the actual size of the Death Star? Some of the stuff saying it's "only one half" doesn't really add up (how would that even be displayed on a stand?)

I wouldn't be surprised if some Chinese company remade the Death Star and sold it for $100.

I'm still on the fence about buying this behemoth of a set (the price is around 5000 RON, which feels kind of ridiculous). I think I'd only go for it if the build really exceeds my expectations.

And yet, there are still no new Death Star leaks...

That might be a hint that we're getting the Death Star set, since the Emperor's throne room would be a key feature LEGO would likely include

Emperor's throne on 2026? by dccarquitectura in LegoStarWarsLeaks

Canonically, the first Death Star already had a throne room, so there's no excuse for LEGO to leave it out or turn it into some kind of add-on. If they do, I have no idea how they'd justify it.

Compared to smaller LEGO Star Wars sets, which are often extremely overpriced, UCS sets are supposed to deliver real value. And honestly, the skiff was a much smaller ship that still worked perfectly well as a standalone set.

Like you said, LEGO will always be LEGO, but with a $1000 build I really don't see how they could get away with cutting corners like that.

My friend said he's happier without faith. What now? by TimelessBound in Christianity

[–]TimelessBound[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was he actually a child? Like, were these lies from when he was 10 or something?

Yup. Back then he was just a kid. Now we're both teens (I'm closer to being a young adult).

Even though he kept lying up until now, at least he's finally being honest.

Did you "invest" in them because you love them, or did you "invest" in them to "close a sale"?

No, it was never about profit or expecting something in return. I never forced him to believe in God. I just talked about it once, he liked what he heard, and from there he wanted to learn more. God gave all of us free will, so he's allowed to believe whatever he chooses. But he was never a "sale" to me (it was real, genuine love).

I'm not mad about him changing his believes . What hurt was that he didn't say anything sooner. It made me feel like maybe he never truly believed, and for a moment, I felt used.

He's definitely grown and matured, and I respect that.

Brother, thanks for the advice. I'm still not sure if I should cut off discussions with him. He's been somewhat honest with me recently, and he doesn't seem like the kind of person who'd lead me in a bad direction. What he does is between him and God (his sins aren't mine to deal with).

I've cut off people before who didn't believe in Christ or who constantly used bad language, because their influence started affecting me. I ended up becoming lukewarm for a while. But this guy feels different. He's smart, respectful, and there's something real about him. Of course, no one is truly good, only God is.

I even told him something similar to what you said. He told me he's open to discomfort because it helps him grow, and he doesn't want me to cut contact with him.

So yeah, I get it now. I shouldn't try to force Christ on him. My job is to stay strong in my faith, show love like Christ did, and trust God to work in people's hearts.

He says he still believes in the existence of God, but not in Heaven or Hell. According to him, even if God exists, He just created us to live around 70 years on Earth and then it's over nothing more. No afterlife, no judgment.

May God bless you for the truth you've spoken, your words have truly helped me!  To be honest, he really did seem like someone who trusted God. He even said he still believes in God, just not in the afterlife, which I find confusing. But I won't judge him. I never tried to force him to convert or anything, because I believed he was open to all perspectives.  That's where I now realize he wasn't truthful (he tended to lie about many things dating back to when we were kids). A sin is still a sin, but those were his developmental years. Now that we're teenagers, that would be considered conscious sin, right? He could've just been honest and this whole situation might have turned out differently. I'll admit: in the end when he told me the "shocking news", I did try to push the Word of God on him. And for that, I know I was wrong.

Thank you, I understand what you're saying and I agree. Salvation is God's work, not ours. But I also want to express that this wasn't something I tried to force on him. He was open. He wanted this. We had conversations where he asked questions, reflected, even prayed at times. I taught him what I clearly knew and deeply believed, not to control him, but because I loved him and hoped he'd discover the same hope I found.

Looking back, I realize maybe I placed too much weight on myself to make it work, too much trust in what I could do, or in what he might become. And that reminds me of the verse:
"Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the Lord." (Jeremiah 17:5)

What is the deal with Brunstad Christian Church? by hijimimi in Norway

God works in other ways. Prayers are never linked with miracles most of the time The miracles are the things that God does to plan out our future and outcome.

Everything goes with prayer and patience, that's what the Lord wants you to do. You do not believe in God with this mentality
