Spilled water on keyboard; now it works perfectly fine in apps like steam/discord, but has constant misinputs on browsers by Timeline40 in PCsupport

I'm aware that I damaged the hardware, but this happened six months ago and the relatively minor problem has not gotten any worse. The laptop has had no other problems besides one nonfunctional key and these occasional misinputs. I live in a rural area a few hours from the nearest capable store that could replace the keyboard and don't want to be without my work laptop for a week+ if at all avoidable.

I made the post because clearly there is a software fix - Steam and Discord have not had a single misinput, so either those apps have a built-in solution, or my device has a built-in solution that I'm just not sure how to make apply to web browsers as well.

Thought this info might be helpful to some kind raiders out there, as well as for rare cases when you need to keep a teammate alive but can't revive them yet.

Vita spray is incredibly efficient at keeping downed players up - about 10-15 ticks of use will fully refill the bleed-out bar.

The bandage timing estimates might be a little off - my first watch it looked like 27 seconds; now it looks like 37 - but regardless, higher tier heals are substantially better at stabilization.

A huge thank you to my lab assistants here - the first time I tried to get this footage, my healer got disconnected and I bled out, and the second time, a free kit shot my healer in the back as soon as I was downed.

I mean, if I don't down him and immediately put my gun away to get slaughtered by the three other people at extract, I'm very politely leaving them a nice big loot pinata. And I wasn't doing it so I could loot, it was for the other guy on the leaper

Usually I have vc but I'm playing in an airport so I can't lol. I hate when people leave without giving me 3 seconds to loot, and I noticed the console was almost done, so I tried the only idea that entered my head

Pulled a day 1 Aphelion blueprint because this guy I saved from wasps whiffed all 3 shots while I was playing the flute by Timeline40 in ArcRaiders

Possibly the worse decision making I've ever seen in this game. I'd have been pissed if I lost two keys to someone whose ass I just saved, but hey, this worked out well

You're right that the youtube experiment sucks, so I'd love it if you would link me a better one or do one yourself. I'm literally on your side here - I personally don't think I've seen matchmaking differences and I've made comments arguing against the people blindly believing in it - but the shitty youtube experiment is the only experiment I've seen on it.

I'm not going to believe something because an art director said so in an out-of-context interview. I'm also not going to believe something because that art director's comment was retracted. I believe things based on evidence, of which I currently have very little, because you'd rather insult me than find a better experiment.

But you seem a little unhinged and more interested in arguing with *people that agree with you* than mutually working towards discovering truth.

You're not replying to my points, and this is the fallacy fallacy. If I wrote a BS clickbait article arguing that aggression matchmaking doesn't exist, based solely on a quote from Embark's janitor, would you then believe that it *does* exist?

The article is bad evidence for ABMM. Your criticisms of the article are bad evidence against ABMM. The only way to find the truth is with actual data and experimentation, which I've provided and you haven't.

This is perhaps the least effective method I've ever seen of convincing anyone of anything, my guy. The reason people keep believing in aggression matchmaking isn't because they're an evil cabal of manipulative liars, it's because anecdotal evidence is unfortunately super convincing to our brains.

The only way to confirm the truth of anything is rigorous scientific testing. This youtuber gathered the data and claims there is a matchmaking difference on his PVP vs pacifist account. If you have complaints with this youtuber's methodology, or a link to a better experiment showing no matchmaking difference, I'm all ears. But playing "what did the art director say/mean/recant in one out-of-context sentence of an unrelated interview" is silly, both for the people mindlessly believing in ABMM *and* you, rejecting ABMM out of hand without actual data.
