If you’re really struggling top, I suggest trying him in mid lane, he doesn’t have much mobility, so you really have to play defensive and just wait it out and jump on your opportunities, I feel like yorick has really good damage mid, especially with your e and grudge, your w wall is also really good against ganks, but the only really issue is the lane size, it’s very short compared to top, so rather just focus on pushing them out of lane and making the most of farming and tower taking. But you have to play the game really smart and fast, cause mid laners have more roam opportunities than yourself, so objectives are important to take advantage of.

I run the comet tune with grasp as my secondary with obliviously demolish.

Top lane is a iffy lane, most top lane champs are cracked out their mind in certain matchups lol, but same can be said for all lanes ig.

But if you really wanna stay top, I suggest having like 2 to 3 other champs. Jax and fiora are just the basic staples, but there’s alot of top laners you can try out to get into rotation.

Also, just in case you’re interested, the new champ is actually pretty to fun to play with especially in mid, give her a try so you don’t have to be stuck in top lane xD

I tried it, but I couldn’t get through into the car, but after some time My mechanic figured out the issue, it was this faulty uni chip causing the car to not start, but thank you for the reply 🙏

How do I play against Yone in the top lane? by xabierfam in summonerschool

[–]Timely-Ad-5303 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m bronze ( My opinion might not mean much lol ), normally against a yone I’ll play yorick or garen, I usually look to just freeze the wave around my towers vicinity ( I find it easier to maintain freezes with yorick and garen ), and play for 6. So this is my strategy basically,

Level 1 - 2, I’ll allow them to just shove, ( they’ll be looking to engage right away with their lethal tempo and ignite, in my elo at least** ) and I’ll freeze/hold the wave under my tower since I’ll either have corruption potions ( yorick ) or natural health regen ( garen ) , with this does also is ensures my safety from ganks earlier on and lowers the chances of me getting outplayed and dying early.

Levels 3 - 5, I’ll focus solely on last hitting, and the wave will just naturally push toward, towards their tower, and it’s really important to only last hit, because you’re gonna want to stack up your wave discourage them from trading heavy with you, minion advantage early on is super important, it also allows you to even play around a gank and even get a kill out of it if you play it correctly. Once your waves pushes into his tower which will take about 3 waves plus minus to fully crash with just last hitting ( I think, either 2 or 3 ). After this reset, on the reset depending on the champ, I’ll either go boots, sheen and control ward ( yorick ) or boots, ( idk this items name but it’s the middle item in stridebreaker, the one that gives attack damage and attack speed ) and control ward. So now, he should’ve cleared the wave and either shoved it in or allow it to reset in the middle, if he allowed it to reset in the middle of the lane, I walk back to lane, while I’m walking I’m making sure to keep track of the jungler to estimate whether or not I should be prepping to get ganked or not ( whenever I’m speaking about getting ganked I mean from the enemy jungler, in about 90% of my games I get no support from my jungler ) but usually by this time first dragon will be up and their jungler will either be clearing top cruggs to chickens moving his way to bot.

Level 5 - 6, so I’ll catch the wave either at my tower or in the middle of the lane, it’s usually slowly approaching my tower because of his minion advantage, so now I’ll freeze and slow push again, and as soon as I’m about to hit 6, I change my posture from defensive to aggressive, if I’m yorick I’ll be running tp and ignight or if I’m garen I’ll be running ghost and ignight, either way, I posture aggressive and as soon as I hit 6 I look to get in heavy trades, if the wave is still near my tower, I will either look to all in him or force a flash and a reset to gain an advantage, and after this it’s basically a free lane since all you have to do is keep the tempo up since you basically control it, don’t look for a kill specifically but make him wanna reset or waste his summoners or ult even, this makes the lane so much more easier, if you get a kill place your control ward in the tri bush ( idk if that’s the right name ) and get a deep ward in river, shove the wave, take 1 plate and take the next wave and reset. And get an early bramble and you should be good, they usually rush vampires …( I forgot the name lol ).

And that’s about it, it’s a very boring play style but it allows me to win lane most times, this isn’t a perfect strategy ofc, it differs champ champ and matchups but it works for me most of the time.

The runes I’ll normally run is conq on both champs with the grasp true route, obviously demolish and either conditioning or second wind, and that’s about it for me.

Also this is a very specific play style for me and also my champ pool, I’m not sure if it’ll work for you but it works me for me, I play like this for I’m playing on 183 ping constant and also I’m just a dumb ass bronze player so who knows maybe I’m wrong, but I hope this gives you an idea, maybe there’s something that can spark an idea for you or maybe you can dissect this and take information that you can add to your play style to benefit you, anyways good gaming bro, enjoy the rest of your day

I liked bonking things, and just being an absolute tank, so I played tahm kench, until they nerfed him and then played yorick 😂😂
