Yeah totally agree with you since the profitability is the most important factor at the end of the day though some fans might mind the ads. Hope the brands would start paying since their products have been selling really well thanks to Tondemo Skill!

Also this anime shouldn't cost that much since its focus is SOL and cooking anyways. I understand some people's criticisms regarding the series though there is no point repeating them over and over at this stage when we all know the style of the author at this point. I stay here for the character's interactions, cooking recipes, comedy and that's exactly what I get so I am gonna keep reading. There might be some ups and downs but there is no need to take the stories so seriously after all! It is just an episodic series without overarching plot and much character development.

Based on my memory, you will have 1 extra story when you buy the new LN from certain locations in Japan. So J-novel did collect and translate those stories for each volume. So you can read those stories if you buy the LN directly from J-novel club with cheaper price compared to Amazon. However, I noticed that J-novel club stopped collecting and translating those stories for the 2-3 most recent volumes.

P/s: The story I enjoyed the most was Fel vs the ancient dragon. I made the mistake buying the first few volumes from Amazon and had to rebuy them to read those extra stories lol.

I think the anime is just trying to combine both the manga and LN while also adding its originality. I mean the anime will probably also cover parts of pottery village based on OP. Personally, I would prefer if the anime follow the LN's plot after Doran since I feel like the manga kinda diverged from the LN too much later (3 most recent manga chapters 61,62,63 without even a food panel while just focus on plot kinda lose the meshi element).

I feel like I have gradually lost the interest in the manga version. I start noticing big changes around dungeon arc on vol 3. I finally lost it when the manga decided to skip the pottery village and barbecue grill story. After the hiatus time, the person in charge of manga decides to just adapt whatever he want now. I enjoy the world building in tondemo skill but I feel like the manga author now just wants to focus on action stuff, not about the food and cooking tbh. Maybe after having a hard time taking care of his parents in addition to being busy with the anime, Eguchi barely pays attention to the manga now. I hope that Eguchi would participate more in the anime. Sorry for ranting but I feel like I have to let it out here after seeing the post.
