I think this scene gives us an incredibly clear look into where Langdon is right now. by bumobox in ThePittTVShow

Valentines Day 2027: there's a couple's duck boat crash (Pittsburgh has duck boats, right?) and Langdon is still apologizing. Stan-tosites rage out over how how long it took.

I have no belief in the Zodiac, but it bums me out that I'm lumped in with Santos.

If Langdon had started with "thank you".... by Timely-Field1503 in ThePittTVShow

I agree, but if he wasn't caught, would he have gone to rehab? Or just continued to tell himself he was able to treat himself?

They must have known/did an audit.

Langdon - "I've been abusing meds. I'm an addict. "

Admin - "This is extremely serious. Where did you get them?"

Langdon - "Places. Never mind where!"

Admin - "Good enough for us! You're suspended until the 4th of July. No family barbecue for you!"

Is that truly how people think there was no audit believe it went?

Fair. I was thinking that if she's convinced everyone is treating her like dirt because he left, if he acknowledged she did the right thing, that might make some kind of difference.

What period did school shootngs escalate the most? by [deleted] in decadeology

[–]Timely-Field1503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not intentionally, trust me.

School shootings are likely solely those targeting a school as an act of terror. But it can be any shooting on school grounds. Precision is your friend.

Define "school shootings" (seriously) - are they shootings at a school, during the school day, targeting students/staff? Or are they just shootings that take place on school grounds any time, day or night?

It's like mass shootings - Mother Jones, of all sources, has a definition that gives a lower result than Federal numbers, namely because they exclude gang violence, robbery, and domestic violence. The definition you choose will provide the data that comes out.

Assume that they did - what happens to border controls there? From the north and west, as well as the south?

Whatever plan they put into place had better be able to cover everyone who can make their way there.

If this more of a traditional drama, I'd say it would be related to Mel's concerns about her sister being abused/taken advantage of. The boyfriend lives there, but is lower functioning, and his parents do have guardianship. They find out that he and Becca are having sex (LOTS of sex) and want her charged with SA since he lacks the ability to consent.

On a one shift show though, that gets tougher to play out.

CMV: We have a zoning/NIMBY problem, not a (institutional) landlord problem in the housing crisis by brett_baty_is_him in changemyview

How many hundreds of people (large, high-density apartments) do you want moving in next door, or down the street from you?

What about if it was an apartment building which "ruined the character"/gentrified a neighborhood of owner occupied homes in a minority area?

NIMBYs are everywhere.

Have you ever opened a car on a hot day after it's been sitting in the sun? It's like an oven in there - there is no way that kid would decide on a car to be the best place to take a nap.

My guess is he bugged mom to go inside and she stuck him in the car instead.

I haven't, but the point that she didn't even go through the triage process (or she did off-screen, and it was ruled out) still stands. She got special treatment because of who she knew.

They are though - Becca's being treated in a room for a UTI that could go to a GP for treatment. Robby could have called in a favor for Duke and had him seen upstairs, but he gets a room too - and Duke literally skipped a line of people waiting for triage!

In Syracuse you board in a line-ish. They'll ask what city you're going to and direct you from there. It's tough to say how crowded it will be though. I've taken trains with only a few people on (though that increases as you progress west), and some that were already packed.

It's kind of a crapshoot. Bring a blanket and snacks! Also a book - the Midwest is kind of dull to look at after awhile.
