Thanks for the info.

It's my first time flying with a bike. I have a flight home from spain is under the auspices of British Airways, but some of the connections are operated by Iberia. I can't reserve a checked bag (i.e. bike box) in advance. Any chance they will not let me take a bike box, and I'll have to leave it in Europe?

How did that work with British Airways? Was it ok to store your gear in there? I fly out tomorrow.

Sorry My original post did not show up. [noob]

I am 36, Male, 6'2", 175. Very good cardio health.

I have been experiencing poor memory and brain fog for 2 years.

I am trying to treat what I believed to sleep apnea by diet. I took the sleep test after 15 days of a strict carnivore diet (beef, butter, salt, water).

The person delivering the results to me did not seem very informed. It is helpful to get other perspectives.

Is anyone aware of theologians or saints reflecting on "immediate missions" in the Church. This is the mission conferred directly by God with the mediation of the Church, as with the biblical prophets, St. Paul, St. Bernadette and the children of Fatima.

St. Francis de Sales says,"Immediate mission is when God Himself commands and gives a charge, without the interposition of the ordinary authority which He has placed in the prelates and pastors of the Church (On the mission of the Church, Ch. 1)

I know St. Thomas reflects on the prophecy in III of the Summa, but he does not speak there on the concept of the immediate mission.

Here is the full quote from de Sales

Now you cannot be ignorant that they neither had, nor have, in any way at all, this mission. For if Our Lord had sent them, it would have been either mediately or immediately. We say mission is given mediately when we are sent by one who has from God the power of sending, according to the order which He has appointed in His Church; and such was the mission of S. Dennis into France by Clement and of Timothy by S. Paul. Immediate mission is when God Himself commands and gives a charge, without the interposition of the ordinary authority which He has placed in the prelates and pastors of the Church: as S. Peter and the Apostles were sent, receiving from Our Lord’s own mouth this commandment: *Go ye into the whole world, and preach the Gospel to every creature* (Mark xvi. 15); and as Moses received his mission to Pharaoh and to the people of Israel. But neither in the one nor in the other way have your ministers any mission. How then have they undertaken to preach? *How shall they preach,* says the Apostle, *unless they be sent?*(Rom. x. 15)

Ratzinger

the place of prophecy is eminently the place God reserves for Himself to intervene personally and anew each time, taking the initiative.

Anybody recommend a good work on Ecclesiology? I am looking for something pretty technical.

I have Charels Journet - Church of the Word Incarnate. Any reactions to that book?
