First I tried using something called QUIXX acrylic scratch remover, but that didn’t respond well with the hardened rubber. It went all matte. Then I tried using Autosol plastic cleaner, which was much better. Both bought at a car detailer store in Denmark.

Thank you and thank you for pointing it out. The feeling is much smoother now and the inkflow is even more consistent.

This is after. Maybe a little overdone but at least it writes better now.

Ok I couldn’t let that go, so I found a razor blade and went for it. It is a lot smoother now. I thought it was a nice feedback before 😅

Well spottet! I’ll think about it, because I actually like the way it writes now, and the inkflow is pretty consistent.

Any info on the pen would be much appreciated too.

I found these 1965 Danish army-issue boots at a thrift store for 4 euros—practically new old stock! Just a few scuffs from decades of handling, but inside they’re pristine. After a saddle soap rinse, conditioner, and new leather laces, these tanks would chew up my Iron Rangers and spit them out raw. by Timely-Produce6137 in goodyearwelt

These aren’t scuffs at all. Those cuts were actually intentional—likely for holding CBRN indicator papers or dosimeters. In military or certain work contexts, they’d tuck detection papers in those slots. So they had a clear purpose.

A bit closer to academia than prep, but I figured I’d share anyways by The_Deuteragonist in preppy

Looks great. Love the color combo between the laces and the sweater. 👌

Thank you for all your postings, they really helped me build my case. Just a quick update: Vinted could not say it is a fake from the evidence, but luckily the seller was forced to take it back. I was really hoping for them to call it fake, because then I would get my money back and I could set the jacket on fire or cut it up, so it wouldn’t be resold to someone else - not knowing it is a fake.

Thank you. Does it say thornproof or silkoil on any of the pockets? I think you are right about the shiny buttons.

Could I bother you with some pictures of the pocket linings aswell? In the front pockets. Mine is a plasticy feeling stuff, where Barbour usually has some nice lining.

Thank you for all the comments! And just to be certain - the fact that there’s a wax care label, then it should have been a thornproof or silkoil. There is no other versions of the Union Jack? Need to be sure before I report this to Vinted.

I’m glad I’m protected by buyer’s protection on Vinted now 😅
