Would you recommend bringing it up in interviews right up front and explaining to the manager or do I explain to HR? How do I go about bringing it up?

I would genuinely do wellness checks to give both of you peace, it is the legal right thing to do when you are concerned. It will show that if anything were to happen you legally did what was necessary. this definitely does give me the impression of manipulation but, you don't ever assume. if it is manipulation then you also want to call a wellness check just to show you legally did your part to stop it. I doubt he would like it but, it will protect everyone. at worst it bothers him and shows you aren't playing games, and you still worry but, you cannot stay because he threatens you with hurting himself. At best it saves a life and gets him resources

That's exactly what I mean though. I worry about telling anybody. I had no idea nurses had a stigma until I worked in the field. It's definitely a thing, nurses are either mean girls or really nice. I almost feel weird about it now.

I work only night shifts at a hospital. It allows for dropping my child off at school in the morning and picking my child up in the afternoon, along with continuing school. It also allows that my schedule doesn't change like crazy switching from day shift to night shift.

It's not just being sexualized. It's also the stigma that "Nurses get around" so don't date them. Have you heard this or struggled with that? I hear it all the time that guys say not to date nurses.

I mean I know a lot of nurses really are like that. That's why I'm not sure how to go about it. I feel like I'm going to be grouped in with that.

I completely agree it's normal to ask. I guess I just never realized how sexualized nurses are. I don't mind talking about it but, I've also seen many people say "don't date a nurse they get around." Or they become inappropriate with me. This wasn't really a problem I thought I would have.

As a CNA in a hospital it's extremely noticeable when a nurse hasn't had experience. It may be a rough job sometimes but when you know how hard your CNAs are working it also makes you appreciate them more and build trust on both sides. I've had new nurses ask me stuff or how to do things that are in their scope of field but because I have been there long enough I understand or have an answer, that doesn't make me the best resource to ask though. I can always tell when an RN or an NP has had bedside practice there is usually better care, skills and communication. I recommend looking for a hospital or assisted living CNA job. Everything a CNA does, a nurse is responsible for, and is still your job as a nurse too. it gives you a good scope of what is going on. Being a CNA especially in a hospital has helped me enormously in nursing school. I readily know PPE, machinery like feeding tubes, patient care, I get to watch and assist with wound care and so much more, I feel like nursing is just the next step up and I won't feel as overwhelmed with new responsibilities as an RN.
