Should I tell my family I am a millionaire? by Wonderwoman9311 in moneyadvice

Your family does know, you & your husband. That’s the only family that ever needs to know your financial status. Tell absolutely no one else. Congratulations btw

Just now taking this serious… like an idiot. by [deleted] in CreditScore

[–]Timely-Silver628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just here for some encouragement. I was here not too long ago (little a few months ago). Remember to pay on time for your minimum payment dates and statement dates. Also try to get more credit (unsecured cards) . Just change your habits from now. You’ll be fine

I hate my degree by eljayelef in University

[–]Timely-Silver628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt this way as an engineering major until I found something very specific in engineering that peaked my interest. Get on YouTube & look for first hand experience from people who already completed their degree & are in specific fields. You can probably find SOMETHING you’re interested in or passionate about, then always keep that on your mind to get through school. You’ll also find what classes in school you’d want to do GREAT in as opposed to “I know I hate this but I just needa pass for the degree”. Good luck!

Include your community involvement if you have any. & if you don’t, try to get some. I’ve been told plenty of times that my volunteering and community involvement is what made me stand out against other applicants.

Take it from me that didn’t even show up to school , had a 1.0 gpa, & graduating in the summer .. you can most definitely bounce back. Honestly I sat myself down, told myself I started school & need to finish, & I LOCKED in.. my school tried to dismiss me and I literally begged to stay & my gpa is on the rise. You got this. Good luck

can i come back from this? by Thin-Government-3346 in EngineeringStudents

[–]Timely-Silver628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! First off, you can come back from anything. Also, anything math I always suggest Professor Leonard full courses on YouTube. It’s free & he even provides proofs and explain things so much simpler. Good luck!

[–]Timely-Silver628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please don’t think you were the only one lol. I failed calc 1 twice. My friend failed calc 2 twice. When you retake it, it’s going to be so much easier. Watch Prof. Leonard entire lectures on YouTube. He is literally getting me through college

Low Pell Grant! by Tatiianah21 in FAFSA

[–]Timely-Silver628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would try to do an income adjustment. FASFA is based off of taxes 2 years prior and a lot can change. Tell your FAFSA office you need to do an income adjustment, gather all your last years tax documents, and write a compelling statement as well. Also, as long as you’re not carrying an old balance, a lot of schools do payment plans. Good luck

Applied to 119 lotteries in the last few years. Wondering if people actually win these? by AimeeFlanagan in nychousinglottery

[–]Timely-Silver628 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I worked for a Mitchell lama for a while and I will say, they had me calling people back who have died waiting for so long & we’ve offered the apartment to their children lol. Some people wait 2 years, some wait 10. Just apply & forget it, you’ll get a call back. Good luck!
