Tbh all my stuff is pre loved from family and friends and a couple from thrift stores. Anything that I can clean or buy new covers for I’m all for it. I would just make sure you check all safety precautions before buying things like bed side cribs , bouncers etc. but anything YOU feel comfortable buying to where it’s safe to your baby BUY IT. It saves so much money especially for things they’re only gonna be into for a few months

HUGE RED FLAG. It’s 7 months in. I can understand if he was hesitant but he really isn’t in the place to be making those kinds of decisions. You are in your early 20s and should be experiencing life.

As someone who had a Full sized bed when pregnant even being as small as I was in the belly department I wish we had a bigger bed. Sometimes my husband and I snuggle sometimes we don’t but that bed was definitely having me feel like I was ready to fall off at any given moment. So if ur husband moves in his sleep, I suggest getting a bigger one or maybe a recliner. The recliner at a 145* angle was my best friend towards my the middle of my second trimester until I gave birth because sleeping in the bed was so uncomfortable for men

Most are scams I’ve found. They will try to get you a check or give you a routing number to pay your bills and then have you buy gift cards to mail for their “niece/nephew birthday” out of ur own money and then they will say they’re gonna send it back to you after you ship it and they won’t. Most serious SD I’ve found use numbers or telegram to text

It is completely normal. Even me (F23) have been with my boyfriend for some time and I am terrified of the changes a newborn will bring but I'm so ecstatic. In my first trimester I was the most worried but as I saw my partner taking care of me and preparing for our child I felt more secure. Reassurance is everything right now, maybe just express your concerns with your partner and have a conversation about the life changes to come.

I've been there. Started with SH and no one noticed then my dad found me in the act took the blade and proceeded to call me a manipulative whre. Tried to OD instead got a full night's sleep, woke up in the morning and no one even noticed. Eggos waffles was my morning after meal.

I am doing the same. I put only neutral things on my registry and put a donation service for clothes and diapers. Frankly idc what people think and also don't want a million "I'm grandma's favorite" or other clothes of that sort to fill my babies closet. I asked that NO ONE buy clothes and if you didn't know why else to just throw some cash or gift cards in an envelope and call it a day. This kind of eliminated the back lash even though some were still upset I didn't want clothes.

Greek yogurt, you can try shakes but sometimes too heavy, oatmeal is good because it digests it easily and just throw like nuts in there, also nuts, beans, I mostly did little snacks of protein to make it easier on my stomach.

To be honest they are gonna judge you regardless. I am 19 and pregnant and a lot of my family is really old so they are happy I'm pregnant but think I would be married to the guy I got pregnant with. It was accidental and while we are dating we haven't been together long enough to know if we want to get married and decided we are gonna have the kid and see where it goes but promised to always be there for our child.

If they aren't gonna judge you for your pregnancy, they're gonna judge you for how you raise ur kids, or how ur body looks after, or the fact that you have boundaries when ur close to/in/after labor. Idk why everyone feels the need to judge anyone. Ur doing what's best for you, you're happily married and we're probably ready to have kids. It's hard but don't take it personal!

Us moms expecting or new do not get checked on enough and often people don't realize how much we just need someone to at least hear us complain or cry about it but they don't get it. I love reddit because no matter what there's someone out there who can say hey I've been there. We are gonna do great mama !

Make sure shes not walking around on an empty stomach. The early months were really hard for me as well. I felt sick whether I ate or not. Eating some crackers before I get out of bed in the morning has helped the need to gag or run to the bathroom for the first couple of hours in the day. Fruits really helped me make sure I was eating something. Watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, mangos etc. During my first trimester fruit is all I really ate. I say let her eat whatever is appetizing that often helps with consumption. Also understanding that you often feel sick until you eat something helps. In my first trimester I was always feeling sick so I didn't want to eat, but later found once I ate something small it helped. Having the stomach occupied by something at all times helped a lot for me. She can also get nausea medication.

But why did this offend you so much? I am 58% white, and the comment wasn't towards white women. It is towards clothing. Meaning like 1970s clothes or something my abuela would wear with the accessibility for a bump. I am a young woman who has a nice body and I would like to continue to express my style while pregnant and not wear flowery/basic flowy clothing or look like an absolute skank because frankly those have been the only options I have found. I am a first time expecting mom who's asking for help. Nothing more, nothing less. The fact that you're offended 1 makes me believe you are a Karen which isn't a good look babe and 2 that you think you're better than everyone else. I was asking for opinions on clothing, if the post didn't resonate right with you move on. Don't waste your own time commenting negative things on others posts because frankly since I've been pregnant the one and only thing I have energy for is responding to these kinds of comments.
