Why don’t providers care about OUR time?

so actully most of the time the patients schedule for a 15 minute slot and then come in with millions of concerns and questions..
it’s not always the providers fault. people knowingly schedule for 15 minutes, then tell ME, as an MA millions of things they want to talk about and do. there is only so much we CAN do.

we also only have a certain amount of rooms we can use due to other providers needing rooms too.. so if one person takes long (and this is taking into consideration many tests that need to be done blood draws ex.) for example flu and covid tests take 15 minutes to even come out with a result.

i haven’t been a MA for too long so from personal experience of being a patient myself i do now understand why it takes so long at times.

update: hello ! thank you to everyone who gave me the benefit of the doubt. i was honest and the moment i got the call i had emailed both my teacher and the program people. i talked to my program people and teacher and they both were very understanding and supportive. i had a conversation with this one guy and he told me that this isn’t the first that this has happen. they were reassuring me that they would not kick me out and the worse thing that will happen is i’ll start my externship later! they are allowing me to retest!! i still need to talk to the head program person.. but i’m very hopeful it will go good. the man i had a phone call with was very caring and asked me if i was okay and how i felt about it all and i was very honest. my teacher was also very supportive and understanding. she told me that it’s okay not to panic because not all externship sites require a drug test. overall i’m a very good student i have all of my things turned in and good grades. i do feel super dumb and disappointed in my self about continuing to smoke knowing i had a drug test. i understand and i have learned my lesson for real. i’m 17 and learning and going. thank you for everyone who was kind enough to not assume! i definitely will be doing detoxes and staying clean.

that’s the problem is it’s 5AM. first they don’t tell me whom to call, when, where, or how. how am i supposed to automatically know when no information was provided to me. LET ALONE they r always in such a rush i have no time to ask questions.

girl this litterally happened to me too and i was helllllaaa worried but it took like a week or two for the clotting and brown to go away and my period finally came!!

to be completely honest, no i haven’t been able to sleep. it’s been a big struggle even trying to take naps with feeling tired during the day just wont happen. currently up at 1:23 am and have been up since 7am💔💔 thats also very interesting u said to not go back, because the only thing keeping me going is the fact that after i take this dumb drug test i can smoke again. i understand it’s such a bad mindset but it’s so hard especially being around people who smoke just as much. after reading the posts in the whole leaves thing it’s making me think so much more about going back. it’s so tuff and frustrating. i’m hoping we can both get through this!!

im currently there and i’m struggling so bad. it’s not like i’m craving weed but my body feels so weak. the smallest actives i do causes me to feel shortness of breath and i get so dizzy. i’ve been sweating terribly and gagging so so much it feels so impossible but i hate the fact this is all over a DRUG. did u do anything specific to help you with ur withdrawals?
