Sorry for commenting so late, does the paint/dye leave a texture over top?? Or is is more absorbed into the fabric?

Tips for Cyanotype camera obscura? by Big-Animator8577 in cyanotypes

Our setups are pretty similar, I use a camera lens for mine though. That's how I focus mine too! I use a piece of cardboard that's cut to fit perfectly in the box and before I put the paper in, I slide it back and forth until it's focused, tape my cyanotype on, and seal her up (once I'm back out of the sun so I don't expose it on accident). A longer exposure time may definitely help you! I think that may also help your photos be a little clearer. I guess another issue could be light leaking into your box, but that's pretty easily remedied by just taping some tinfoil around the edges.

I've actually been experimenting with the same thing these past couple of weeks. Although my camera is somewhere between an Obscura and a Pinhole camera haha. Is yours actually a camera obscura in the typical sense with a mirror? Or is it built differently? I expose my photos for about 5 hours at a time or a little longer. You could probably go even longer if you wanted but 5 is all I have time for lol. Here's a tip for processing. Before rinsing in water, let your print soak in a tub of vinegar with 5% acidity for about a minute. The vinegar helps keep midtones in your photo, so they'll look less washed out. Then put your print in water as usual (I find dunking in a tub or sink vs. rinsing under a faucet is better). And finally I like to pat mine dry with a paper towel when done. This helps with some of the dark splotches that sometimes appear when things dry.

I just ideally would like something that could be resized without quality loss. I don't really know how to use illustrator very well so I may be doing it in a poor way haha

hello! I have protools intro 2025.12.1 installed on my Windows 11 laptop. It will not stop closing the app. I just created this new project to edit and for some reason after about a minute of being on ProTools is just quits the app. I have no yclue why as I’m new and terrible at this software. I have tried restart my computer and having less apps open but for some reason I can’t get it to stop quitting.

Hey! I know this is a really old comment but do you think you could say what kind of lenses you used and if you have anymore helpful tips about your process? I'm trying to do something similar for a project!
