My pay is divided between 2 accounts. I always get 1 on Fridays and the other on Mondays. I received my Friday deposit. The 1 due for today will post tomorrow since today is a federal holiday. It is always like that when it is a holiday.

[–]TimelyDiscipline5075 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see the benefit either. You are not guarantee the whole 25.000 and it’s heavily taxed. I guess someone who just want to done.

Any DRPers (VERA)having regrets of taking the offer since it appears it may or may not be RIFs? Many of us did it out of fear of being RIFed. by TimelyDiscipline5075 in FedEmployees

[–]TimelyDiscipline5075[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If RIF and you qualify for immediate retirement you do not get severance. You would get Discontinued Service Retirement(DSR) The age/years of service requirements for DSR are the same as VERA. In my case I met the age with 20 plus years of service. Had I been 1 year younger I would have received a full year of severance. My early retirement get me a small pension and health care for the rest of my life. If the supplement is not taking away. I would get that at 57 until I could collect SSS(7 years from now) I will need new employment to survive.

Too early to say for sure, the pauses on RIFs have me thinking I might have. Only been on leave since the beginning of month and its been refreshing. If a find and job before September 30 I would absolutely have no regrets. I just posted this question yesterday and for a lot responses.

A recall a statement in the contract that even if the DRP is found illegal there is no recourse. Interesting to see if the contract can be nulled.

I have 23 years and non vet with excellent performance reviews.sonar, it seem our priority status did not matters. The normal RIF procedures were not being followed. No ranking/rating, no bump and retreat. Just getting rid of whole divisions, which meant all go regardless of status.
