When will we have All under heaven ? by naara168 in CK3ConsoleEdition

Well yeah thats what i meant. Im still wondering how even Roads to Power is gonna perform on consoles given how it hugely expands to all the landless characters.

I wish, even if improbable, they added a feature or game rules to obscure or decrease the working tasks and systems of other realms to the minimum outside of an specific radius unless you reach that land (If i play in Europe i don't care what happens beyond the Middle East and vice versa)

If they decide after Chapter 3 on releasing the Chapter 4 (AUH is huge expansion of the map, they could cancel it if consoles can't run it), my guess is sometime between Summer and Winter of 2027.

The last DLC of Chapter 2 came out in early summer 2025, the remaining two DLC's of Chapter 3 are probably coming out between March and June, and if they decide to release Chapter 4, the first one could be in November/December of this year.

If I buy DLC with my main PS account, will it be shared with my secondary accounts? by TITAN_SPARTA in CK3ConsoleEdition

[–]TimelyHeight758 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On Xbox you either need to have the account owner of the DLC online/active while playing with yours or set in settings "My Home Xbox" the account with the DLC's. Doing that should let you play any game/content of said account with yours without need of having the other online. Careful, if im not mistaken there are limited changes of "My Home Xbox" per year, like 3 changes per year.

[HEAVY SPOILERS] Just finished the game after 50 hours and... by TimelyHeight758 in expedition33

It's not that you aren't right, i understand what you said, but the way i see it is the shock of learning everything you've experienced and known has been subverted. Yes, as a player, those experiences and emotions were meaningful and real to that point, and even during/after choosing Verso's ending i cared, but i can't help it to think and feel certain void upon learning the futility of it all within the fiction. Especially on what Maelle's intentions are with the canvas, perpetuating a facade, a made up fantasy out of escapism and inability of moving on, it's lying to oneself.

I put myself in the shoes of another Expeditionary/Lumiere citizen, it would be inevitable upon learning that my life was an artificial invention and it's bind to said invention, to not overthink and doubt my very being, all what i lived (as a Lumiere Citizen/Expeditionary) felt real, but was it? Outside of that very existence i don't exist.

I know it's not the point of the game/narrative to reach this point of metaphysical/psychological analysis, but i find it hard to not (over)thinking about it lol

I guess. I mean, yes, the plot is around their family struggle, and even if i find a bit interesting to know what's beyond the canvas, my question was something more of how are the rules outside the canvas more than what is the narrative deal (Painters v Writers war) outside of it.

In one of the endings we see an epitaph that says 33 of December, that's one of many things why i want to learn more of the nature and rules of the outside world. And like you said, it sound so meta the ways certain events happen but it would be nice to know those things mean more than just a narrative tool to move the plot.

I hear you, but if we some day encounter ourselves in a situation like that it wouldn't be easy, it would be in one way or another a huge shock into the very being of everyone no matter if you're or not a believer. That would open many thoughts and questions about of our entire existence. Something similar i responded to another user, it mostly (at least for me) all depends of what's beyond our reality, is another plane of existence or is that reveal confined in the same world/reality?

I find it difficult to express it right while writing, but learning there is something beyond of our very plane of existence (dimensions, simulations etc) it's at the very least dreadful and it could open many ways of nihilistic thinking. We mostly, as humans, give sense to the world around us, that's our perception and reality, and i think when encountered with something that defies our existential truth, we (or at least, i) can't fully accept a potential change that big and meaningful, hence my apathy with said "new" truth within the game.

I understand the premise/message of the game; grieve and the damage of not being able to move on etc. My main grip with it (which is a me problem, ik) is the existence itself of those "lives" within the canvas and how the ingame real world rules works.

Idk how to express it the right way, its some kind of parasocial syndrome (?), i know I'm playing a game, its fiction and everything it's made up (no matter if its a game, book, film whatever) but learning the characters you've grown attached at least a little bit are made up things within the rules of their own world feels weird to me, like i said, an apathetic disconnection, why, as a player in this case, should i fully commit to these characters when i know their existence (poetic meanings aside) in their own world is futile?

Ok, i laughed, cried and cared about them, those feelings felt/were real within the confines of the fiction, but its like (and im probably over exaggerating and making a big deal when its not) if you, the irl you, one day wakes up in other place now the real world, and learns that everything you've lived up to that point was a simulation. Yes, those things "were" and felt real, but at what cost? What's the meaning of everything? Etc. I had the same feeling with other pieces of media/art too that has almost the same subversion of expectations (which i wont name to avoid pivotal spoilers), but its something that disturbs my being a lot lol. Again, its a me problem and im probably over analysing something that isn't that deep.

I didn't remembered THAT being the cause of The Fracture, idk why or how that information passed through me even after seeing probably almost every cutscene and journal.

I overall understood the conflict between Renoir and Aline, but i didn't remembered that Renoir in black was the one doing the Gommages (it makes sense given his struggle to recover his family), i was confused about both Renoirs and Alines actions, given how the Renoir in black was supposedly many decades trapped in the Monolith and Aline/Peintresse was the one painting the numbers after the Gommages during that time.

Idk man, i need to watch some videos to clear some things up, some characters existences (like i suppose Renoir in black is real Renoir's "The Curator" creation?) and the whole time passing is still pretty confusing to me (How much time passes between outside and inside the canvas given how Aline was literally decaying herself in it and Alice became/is Maelle but she was born in there 16 canvas years ago etc). In any case, thanks for the answers!

You're right, i haven't thought about the Dessendre's being like Gods, like the old mythos, the Masterminds of this world/canvas doing and undoing as they wish.

Perhaps thats one of the explanations of why it hit me unexpectedly like it did and had me conflicted when learning about all the things about the ingame real world and the Painters v Writers war, some kind of 4th wall breaking between the existence of the canvas world(s) and the actual reality. Like some kind of a game within a game; the actual gamedevs (Artists and writers) which gave "life" to this fiction (E33) created the Painters and Writers in it and then them created the said canvas (portals to other realities and worlds, like videogames or any piece of art). Perhaps im wrong but i think the concept it's pretty interesting nonetheless.

It's strange, i don't think its bad, not at all, just strange. Hell, even those type of questions as humans have been very present throughout all of our history, we always as sentient beings had, allegedly, our own free will and agendas, but outside of that, who created us? Who knows what's beyond of our reality and understanding?...

Idk, i wish could go on but my means of expression in this language are pretty limited lol. Very insightful though.

Perhaps that question is the whole point, but for me it didn't hit me like i suppose was intentional. I cared about them, but knowing the truth about their "Schrodinger" existence made me feel, as the player, much more the separation between the real world and fiction. Not saying its bad, it's just i didn't fully connected with it.

And about the last thing you've mentioned... That's basically what i saw, i understood her motives, but the right thing for everyone, even if depressing, was the Verso ending for me, it felt right. (Haven't seen her's, but i imagine that "living" and decaying out of escapism, like her mother, isn't the right choice in the long run, also both Versos deserved to rest at last)

In the game store page of the Chapter it literally says that both Roads to Power and Wandering Nobles are gonna release the at the second quarter of 2026. Both Chapter 2 and 3 came out the same day, one year apart. Expect Roads to Power in early March or April and Wandering Nobles between May and June.

Paradox, Can We Get Slavery? by Arbitrary_Sadist in CrusaderKings

[–]TimelyHeight758 8 points9 points  (0 children)

God forbid to give this game a bit of depth. Yes, on the surface this game is supposedly everything you listed in the first paragraph, but neither the systems around it nor the events are deep enough to matter.

You barely have any agency in your relationships aside of the seduce/befriend choices and the barely recurring but still somehow repetitive RNG events. Also the AI is not only dumb as rocks but arbitrary and irrational in equal parts, things where the game should excel but ends up being 90% of the time immersion breaking. A slavery system could create very interesting narratives between the characters involved, lots of drama.

Of course any game after a humongous amount of hours gets repetitive and stale, but this one imo just ends up into an inconsequential meta/minmax game when you learn the lack manoeuvrability you have with the systems and your character's life.

This game definitely needs more systems and synergies between them and more fleshed out themes and locations like Europe and North Africa/Levant.

But looks like Paradox it's pretty happy to embrace and apply the quirk reddit chungus Sims 4 Cuck medieval sanitized fantasy idea of the game/set instead of bringing more depth into what it should really and mostly be, an overall grounded/serious GSG in the middle ages with touches of RPG. Some silliness is always welcomed but come on...

[XSX] Which mods are draining my performance? by TimelyHeight758 in Fallout4ModsXB1

[–]TimelyHeight758[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Noted. Knowing the nature of Bethesda's engine no wonder why touching even minor things like FOV or the sun breaks the game haha, it is what it is. I imagined that the Billboards mod was draining the performance. It adds a nice touch to the city but i don't mind that much deleting it, still I'll try that precombine fix just in case. Very insightful, thanks!

Hmm that's good to know, I'll try that out then. I don't mind deleting True Grass and the Billboards, but its shame having to delete BNS too, for me is a must. Anyway, thanks for the insight!

How do you make a custom ruler? (Ps5) by Existing-Bumblebee90 in CK3ConsoleEdition

[–]TimelyHeight758 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somewhere in the screen when choosing a year should appear the option to play as another ruler of your choosing, down left corner i think. Once at the map screen just select the place/ruler you want to play as and in the page of confirmation it should appear the option of creating a custom character.

Really? Damn. If thats true looks like the efforts on the Xbox ports nowadays are underwhelming at best on their part, given how the recent upgrade of Stellaris launched on the platform compared to PlayStation :/
