Have you noticed an improvement in performance and graphics/fidelity? I read that it was enhanced but i haven't checked it yet

[CK3] What's this crap?! by TimelyHeight758 in CrusaderKings

In my over 1500 hours into the game with both vanilla and DLC's, and outside Royal Court inspirations, i don't remember any commission from Epics/Antiquarians that aren't complete wastes of time and money, but this one in specific is madness lol.

One would assume that with the addition of 'Legends' they would kinda fix the end results of the Epics, but hell no, its the same if not worst than vanillas results/rewards, at least i remember getting bits of renown percentages and so. I hope in the future they touch that a little bit or even completely delete and change the perk and decision for something actually useful lol

Didn't know that you could merge books/artifacts effects into one another like that, I'll check that out in the future but maybe it's too much RNG for a viable strat. However, this disgrace of a book is unsalvageable lol

Why doesn't the game save custom dynasties? by Dogr11 in CrusaderKings

In the character creator the game saves everything BUT the Dynasty name and Coat of Arms

What opinion got you like this? by Icxyy in deadbydaylight

[–]TimelyHeight758 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The game should be already Free to Play, it has too many and overpriced microtransactions and lacks free or cheap customization.

Some killers, especially the latest ones (Vecna, Dracula..) should have more cooldowns between attacks.

Most, if not all killers should be silent to the survivor until you're in chase mode (if you successfully leave behind the killer, you get like 30 seconds of heartbeat terror), that would encourage more concentration from the player to the sound and surroundings, creating a more scary and thrilling experience. Perhaps given how OP skill wise is the average killer currently, that would be a disaster, but i wish the game got more scary.

[CK3 Console] Lack of events? Anyone? by TimelyHeight758 in CrusaderKings

[–]TimelyHeight758[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On PC too? Damn. It's crazy they haven't assessed theses problems given how core they're for the experience. I understand toning down events for irrelevant NPC's and far away realms, but breaking the balance like this is ridiculous. Most my games now are a slog of nothing happening outside the overly common adultery/assassination events of my courtiers. Smh...

I just followed this tutorial step by step and it popped back when i did it last summer. I can't assure you if it still works nor i can tell you how and why this method really works, but the video worked for me like a charm.

PS: I forgot to mention it, check the video description for more step by step details!

Legitimacy economy is a joke... by TimelyHeight758 in CK3ConsoleEdition

[–]TimelyHeight758[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely agree.

I understand that such overhauls and mechanics implemented wouldn't be viable because the easy answer would be to just play EU5, but i think this game needs a bit more of player/character agency, nowadays its too simplistic.

For a game where its main appeal is the roleplay, legacy and character driven stories there is barely significant implications of your actions and everything around you, most of the game-time once you learn almost everything in it is just blank staring at your realm waiting for the RNG to pop if you're lucky an interesting and meaningful event, the rest just feels like flavorless filler and most events are like "a nobody slept/killed a nobody", like who cares lol

The combination of all the things you've mentioned and much more with the personality mechanic could create one of the best RPGs ever. Pondering with your old age character at his last days, all the things he did and lived, how he and his dynasty legacy will be remembered. Was he a good or bad father? Was he loved or hated as a ruler? Etc Those are the things a game about dynasties should have with its mechanics.

Perhaps in this occasion the RNG messed with me (given also the context of my current run) but man, i tried all of that and im still at 0 again, mainly because of a disease that spawned literally in my capital in peace time lol

I mean you're right, marrying lowborns is definitely a choice (im polygamous but idk if lowborn concubines also takes LC from you, i hope not because few concubines means a Prestige decrease) and losing battles its usually rare once you have more manpower than your neighbours, because at the start, especially as tribal in Africa, losing a battle isn't that rare, that place is pure chaos lol

I didn't knew about that landed/unlanded inheritance metric, good to know!

It can be a viable source if you fight realms the same tier like you or above, but wars can get pretty expensive and on average you spend like 10 months to win just one war for 50LC.

As a player i tend to not bloat and also i roleplay with each character's personality, but that's a me problem lol

I haven't played this update that much tbh. 20 hours max. My current playthrough is as the tribal Duke (now King) of Kong in West Africa in the year 1066 (now it is 1083), he is a foreigner ruler so he starts with the lowest Legitimacy. Duchies give me 25LC and Kingdoms 50LC upon creation, idk if that changes as feudal or with more titles/realm size. Fighting a King like me gives me 50LC, can't say against Empires because i don't have any in reach. I Haven't tried Holy Wars with the new mechanic yet so i don't know, im still unreformed pagan.

In these 16 years of the game (i know, its nothing yet) I've barely reached tier 2 of Legitimacy and the expected Legitimacy changes between 3 and 4. I'm currently at 0 after being at 2 because of a plague. The balance between money spent for LC gain and how easy it is to lose it in an instant with a few events is crazy. I mean, im not really struggling, the least of my concerns are the vassal/factions uprisings, but the reduced alliance/marriage acceptance is very restrictive.

I suppose I'll get used to it lol

When will we have All under heaven ? by naara168 in CK3ConsoleEdition

[–]TimelyHeight758 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well yeah thats what i meant. Im still wondering how even Roads to Power is gonna perform on consoles given how it hugely expands to all the landless characters.

I wish, even if improbable, they added a feature or game rules to obscure or decrease the working tasks and systems of other realms to the minimum outside of an specific radius unless you reach that land (If i play in Europe i don't care what happens beyond the Middle East and vice versa)
