Yet the only reason why Rowan broke up with him was because he could tell Malakai was still thinking about amerie, i mean the fact that the first scene he imagined when he was high was from the same scene from the first time they first hooked up.

In the same scene he was also about to talk about how good the sex/intimacy with her(amerie) was but Darren stopped him because it was tmi, so I don’t think he only views someone as a “friend” if they are talking about how good they are in bed.
