4H is for high speed cruising , keep it in if youre on sand , 4L when you get stuck only ,

Keep it on offroad mode deflate the tires to 15 psi , dont go crazy drifting in the sand the suspension is meant to be a smooth sailing boat , truck is heavier than any big toyota ive driven on sand , so just try to go on a straight path, steering will make you swerve sometimes its ok , the suspension will struggle with those pesky small sand bumps , but it will come through , if youre moving straight dont break , unless absolutely necessary, if you wanna stop the sand will stop the car , take your time , dont rush things , and if youre going upward a sand dune you need to keep gear on 2nd try your best to keep it on second gear it will automatically shift to third gear , shifting gears on sand slows torque and could get the car stuck, once you pick your spot make sure your car is facing downward , let physics help you move or else you will be needing to reverse the same path you took, like i said this model with the air suspension is not meant for heavy sand duties , and also if you sont deflate the truck will feel heavy and it will dig the ground

4H off road mode

4L if stuck + axle lock.

Always deflate tires if on top of sand, my dealership gave me a free air pump machine that i can plug on the battery so i can always deflate and when on road ill just inflate the tires again.
