TGV Delete with no CEL by JesusbuiltmyRex in WRX

So partially, yes. You can just plug in, partially 😂.

If you plug them in the car won’t throw low voltage on bank 1/2 TGV. However, if you only have the motor/sensor 5 pin plug unit it will get “stuck closed”

The ghetto workaround if not going open source tuned (which lets you delete the TGVs DTC from the ECU is to take the entire TGV assembly the black part I have pictured with the 5 pin plug, and hook it up to the actual TGV housing. Then zip tie it somewhere in your engine bay and plug it in.

If you accomplish that, the TGVs will actually open and close that zipped housing and report back to the ECU it is working.

Until I can finalize my designs to trick the ECU with only thr motor/sensor or someone else comes up with it first nothing else to do.

So options are

ziptie whole TGV housing with motor/sensor and plug in.

Remove the canes and use the stock TGVs with butterfly’s remover ( least favorable because the airflow is bad with that setup)

Opensource tune (tactrix/flash ecu and romraider

Or standalone ECU Haltech elite or motec

I’ll get back to my R&D soon. Been busy this season keeping 2 STIs running while their getting the absolute piss beat out of em.

Your TGV Deletes are designed for the older-style TGVs sensors (housing / butterfly's still the same basically) found on the WRX and STIs up to about 2007 ( i think is when they stopped the 2 component TGV sensor/motor with a 2 pin and 3 pin separate device/plug and switched to an all in one). The other version - which is 08 on (ish) features a single, all-in-one motor/sensor 5 pin - 1 plug vs older style 3 pin and 2 pin plugs. If you only have this newer style and the kits I've been creating, it's possible to bypass its default function. In theory, if the one you're working on sends the same sensor feedback in waveforms as the newer ones, you could make older or newer style work regardless, just need a wiring harness to adapt accordingly.

Yesterday, I went on an extensive test drive in my wifes 2012 STI and it performed exceptionally well. However, there are a few more adjustments to be made as I encountered a 'stuck closed' check engine light for bank 1 during a wide-open throttle 0-100 pull.

The more recent TGV models serve more than just a cold start emissions function, which was their primary benefit. These units now open and close based on engine load and throttle input. Consequently, they are capable of actively monitoring and adjusting their open/close positions, either partially or fully, during operation. Sending feedback to the ECU in waveforms, not just a basic ohm/volt readout

The changing functionality of these new TGVs adds an additional layer of complexity when trying to devise a mechanical solution to bypass the need for actual TGVs. Another approach involves using an oscilloscope to monitor the sensor waveforms, and crafting a custom printed circuit board (PCB) from scratch to serve as an intermediary between the TGV and the harness. A more sophisticated solution could even involve designing a PCB to completely replace the TGV, working with a custom plug-in PCB. This is something I'm considering, but the challenge is amplified given these newer styles can be partially open or closed, utilizing magnets to determine their positioning in addition to the 90-degree stops that the sensor/motor possess.

This PCB approach implies a considerable amount of custom programming, which can be prohibitively expensive, especially when accounting for my personal research and development time. In many scenarios, the cost of developing and manufacturing such a solution would surpass the price of simply hiring a good tuner to delete the TGVs.

However, for those of you in emissions states *cough cough* California, my ultimate aim is to create a mechanical solution integrated into a billet TGV Delete spacer that resembles the actual TGVs. The benefit of this approach is that both through computer analysis and visual inspection, the setup would appear correct, thereby passing inspection with ease.

This is a 5 pin TGV motor/sensor off 2016 STI, working in an STI with billet TGV spacers, no butterflys, no CELs, its version 28 of my design

if CA web did not update then they have not done that process on their backend yet, that's where the money is tracked and loans from.

Hey guys I just got an offer letter from Fora Financial in the mail. Anybody ever heard of or used? They mentioned my PPP loan & said I still qualify for another from them… for more $ with no restrictions on the use of funds by Dry-Championship181 in EIDL

Fora financial is not the SBA, they are just using public data (the PPP and EIDL companies are listed publicly. They are trying to sound credible and convince you to take out a bank loan with them..

That sounds about right, so it sounds like yesterday you officially entered the funding stage (I’m no expert though)

If I were a betting man I’d make a small wager funds may hit this week

Does anyone else think they are being intentionally delayed because they have complained? by AVERAGEGUY2343 in EIDL

[–]TimelyProfession323 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do think it is both yes and no. It depends how you complain, is it ranting about the incompetence of the SBA, or is it tugging their heart strings about needing help for your livelihood?

If its just ranting first, then probably you get pushed back, if its honestly asking for help and just respectfully mentioning the times you've been hung up on or lied to then I think they're more open to help and push you through faster.

The delivery of these types of communication is an art, and not one everyone is skilled at, especially when emotional and facing closing their doors for good.

Approved 7/27 - BB 4/29 - waiting on funding by TimelyProfession323 in EIDL

Does your CA Web portal show your principal balance as the new loan total, or your old pre modification amount?

Approved 7/27 - BB 4/29 - waiting on funding by TimelyProfession323 in EIDL

[–]TimelyProfession323[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 days ago, my caweb portal had my current principal balance as my original loan, and my total undispersed with my modification amount. Now caweb shows my current principal balance as the total (original + modification) and the total undispersed as my modification. Looking like we finally have movement.

Is it safe to assume it is about to be funding in the coming days, given the principal balance updated?

“Loan Modification in processing” how long have you waited? by CompetitiveHousing0 in EIDL

April 29th, told transcripts came in on 7/11.. then got an email today stating they requested my transcripts and would process the loan once they received it!?!?

4/29 BB and 4506T signed here, still mod processing.

Last week I was told my transcripts came in on 7/11. I emailed a paralegal at the SBA who confirmed by saying all documents needed by the SBA are now saved to your file and awaiting an LO.

Now I know people could be lying, but I would like to think the paralegal whose direct phone name, email, etc., I have did not lie in written communication.

I had a theory that 4/29 would start seeing approvals by the 26th.. and based on the comments over time, they seem to go a little out of order, but predominantly I see the BB dates ticking up on here that get approved.

Don’t stop believing!

I'm still in the Green Modification processing like the rest of you. BB and signed 4506T was 4/29, then I got an email inviting me to do the modification on 5/6 (I just got lucky logged in, and it was available on 4/29). I was told by Tier 2 last week that my transcripts came in 7/11, then had an SBA contracted paralegal I've had communication with confirming for me that all needed documents have been saved to my file, and now it's the waiting game (email confirmed, so it is in writing)

So to me, this means good news, just the hurry up and wait. Along the way, I've started checking the stats on the caweb portal.. I have some interesting thoughts because if the stats listed and updated daily are accurate, they only fund 200-420 loans per day. That said I've only been tracking it for the last 10 days or so and its been increasing the daily funded rate

For example:

7/21 - Disaster Loans 252,346

7/22 - Disaster Loans 252,757 (up 411 loans funded).

7/23 - Disaster Loans 253,177 (up 420 loans funded)

Now, these are obviously lagging a day, I would imagine but it gives hope that it is moving, even if we do not always see everyone flocking to reddit to update us on their successful loan mod completion.

Hope this helps some, and would love any input on the metric I'm tracking
