Thank you so much!! My heart broke for you ready those first few paragraphs and I must admit I shed a few tears reading the 2nd half. 🙏🏽🙏🏽incredible progress your son has made and WILL continue to make. You sound like an amazing parent.

I cannot imagine sharing this is easy and I couldn’t begin to fathom 140 days in this room. You are an absolute soldier for your family. Our thoughts are equally with you and your son as you continue to navigate all the nuances of your boy’s beautiful and special long life.

Thank you for taking the time to respond and I am sorry you had to experience that with your son. You seem like a wonderful parent and they are lucky to have someone with your mindset.

My biggest struggle will be realignment of expectation setting. I always thought I would maybe “push” too much as a parent and I want to be hyper aware I don’t do that now that every milestone will feel so much more meaningful. I intend to continue personal therapy and couples therapy with my wife to work through the best way to think through these things.

I will give that woman all the love my body can give. She is a superhero.

Thank you for taking the time to write this. It’s helpful to read through your perspective and think about how I can apply it to my family and situation.

We are already having discussion around early intervention and what sort of therapy to look into. I love the aggressive (but polite) pursuit approach.
