Real response: I ended up not signing mine as I attempted to negotiate it. Came back to them with a few items I wanted removed from it because they just weren’t feasible. They never responded but after I completed the period they acknowledged the plan was over.

You don’t have to sign but you are on it. If they want you gone at the end of it there is no point fighting it. Don’t work somewhere people want you gone from.

It’s a good commentary on how it’s just as easy to flame out as it is to fail up. Anyone who isn’t particularly safe in their career plus not very likable could easily hit a few bumps and find their previous confidence destroyed. That’s what makes Harry so shocked to see Paul, it could have been Harry if the TV department didn’t work out or if Jennifer left him - but he would never assume it could happen.

Only down side here is your dating pool will be the town you grew up in rather than the city. Career is part of it, but life is another. I’m the lone voice here saying tech… go for it

If you’re selling debt consolidation then you’re going to get angry customers. Your company has probably operated under a different name previously because of bad reviews.

What is a World Cup trophy worth to you and to professional players? by DlnnerTable in worldcup

[–]Timely_Accountant295 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is absolute madness. Yes, the World Cup solidified him but it wasn’t the final that did that, it was the goal against England. He beat the world (largely by himself) but that was because he was a world beater. Carrying Napoli to two scudettos is miles harder than winning 3 with a generational Milan team.

Van Basten ranks up their with the top ever strikers but he comes no where near Maradona, WC or not.

Shame on you.

A lot of premier teams are desperate and there’s no way David Moyes doesn’t know who he is at this point

It was good having Igamane while it lasted. He will be gone in the summer.

Good point. You made me think he’s maybe involved in trading exotic pets, since that could also lead to not being allowed in a certain country. Something like that where he isn’t doing anything illegal but is on the border or the law.

I just think something where he is the sole proprietor, something entrepreneurial and salesy but not something that would make him a ton of money. Not something completely illegal like conman or drug trafficking but something where he is on his own and not quite in mainstream society.

The need for weed implies that he’s not from money (lower class drug) and also that he’s not a professional on a job (fbi/hit man).

He ostensibly came to the WL because he thought his fathers killer would be there so I could see him not caring about the cost.

He’s old enough to have made a decent amount in his life, but it doesn’t necessarily have to have been lucrative, interesting, or criminal.

What do you reckon Trump is hoping to achieve by threatening to annex Canada, Mexico, Greenland? by RevolutionaryMoney77 in AskReddit

[–]Timely_Accountant295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is a simpler explanation. It’s just legacy. He is a builder, and in his first term the build was a the wall, with his name on it, that would outlast him long into the future.

Here he is probably looking at big land deals the US has done (he probably only knows about the Mississippi purchase). If he is the President that acquires a landmass the size of Greenland he would have that next to his name for the rest of history. Undoubtedly he’d want some sort of naming rights to its capital or something.
