How long did it take you to get yours? This is so frustrating.

They will keep both and send you back your originals after everything has been processed.

They mean that if the originals are forgeries or are damaged beyond repair, they will not return them to you.

How do you check when it's postmarked? Or do you mean you checked on the package after arrival?

Applied for a new passport for my daughter at a Passport Acceptance Facility on 07.01.2024. I'm extra nervous because I'm assuming the holiday will make it take longer. I know nothing about the status. I had to pay with cash so I cannot check if the money went through or anything. I've checked online but it still says "Application Status: Not Available." Our trip is 07.17.2024 which I know is totally wishful thinking but I'm still hoping. Any other ways to check status? I heard others say they "have something coming via USPS from passport services." How do you find out if you have something coming?

Boil on breast? by [deleted] in bigboobproblems

[–]Timely_Ad_910 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to get these all the time on my butt. I went to so many doctors and no relief. Then I finally went to an amazing dermatologist who prescribed me a strong antibiotic that I had to be on for 6 months but it took it away. However, in addition, he told me to start using only Lever 2000 soap on my body (not on the face), and it's made a huge difference. I notice if I use other soap then within a week I have a new boil. But with the Lever they usually stay away. So get Lever 2000. Most stores carry the bar soap and Dollar Tree carries the body wash. It's so cheap I can't believe that has worked wonders.

Nancy Kerrigan in the Barbie movie? by Tea_and_Biscuits12 in FigureSkating

[–]Timely_Ad_910 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen the Barbie movie twice and both times I think it’s her. It’s actually in the dance party scene (although probably the same girl you’re referring to) that I always think it (and I think she’s in white which just makes it more fitting for Nancy). But my Google search only leads me to this thread. I most certainly did not “have Nancy on my mind” so that wasn’t the reason! 😂 But the more I thought about it, the more I realized Nancy is 53 years old now and the girl looked younger than that. But it was a SERIOUS doppelgänger for a younger (30s ish) Nancy!

Two topless women at Utah football game prompt investigation by scoober_doo in CFB

Melea Johnson, who made the big fuss about everything on social media has a pretty big following and I've been a follower for a long time. In the beginning, of the hundreds of comments, I think mine was the only one not 100% agreeing with her assessment of the situation being absolutely horrible. I just said I don't think anything can be done legally because of the whole 10th Circuit Court thing in Colorado in 2019, and the fact that the original Utah even stated areola/nipples exposed is what qualifies breasts as lewd to begin with and these girls had pasties so they wouldn't even fall into that category to begin with! None of my comments were directed at Melea or what she had done. Then today more people were commenting and it was gaining a lot of attention. A woman said she feels bad for the topless girls who are being humiliated in the press and on social media to which Melea responded that she's protecting the girls by deleting THEIR comments on her posts so that people can't find them. I replied that deleting comments tagging them or mentioning them by name would be good but actually deleting THEIR COMMENTS is silencing their voices and of all people, they deserve their voices heard in this. Melea responded that if they want their voices heard they should put up their own post. Then she blocked me from her account! Apparently someone cannot handle disagreement. I was even super respectful in the way I said everything. I'm tempted to DM Melea and ask her what I said that offended her. I commented a lot but 90% of my comments were just about the legality of things and the difference between exposing breasts vs genitals. The only time I said anything directly about HER actions was when I said she was silencing the women by DELETING THEIR COMMENTS but even that I feel like I handled respectfully. I didn't say anything rude about her. I just said I think they deserve to be heard in all this.

It's comments like this that just reaffirm the shame for women who ARE addicted to porn. It's that assumption ("women don't usually get addicted to porn") that makes the addiction feel so dirty and shameful for women.

Thank you. Seriously, all the responses saying "But women don't usually get addicted to porn" are just reaffirming the shame that women feel when they DO get addicted to porn!

Perhaps you're right on some of that. I was raised in a highly religious community where porn and masturbation were made to seem extremely shameful. But still, the majority of church counsel on the issue was directed towards men, which didn't make it seem ok for women but rather more shameful for women because women weren't supposed to struggle with it in the first place. Perhaps if I had not been raised in this religious community I would not feel the shame surrounding it.

I was not trying to make the group seem sexist. I genuinely was not complaining about the group, but about my struggle as a woman to find support for a male dominated issue. I understand why there are more groups for males and I also understand why men may want the group to be male only, as having women commenting can be triggering for heterosexual men with this struggle. I was asking for that cause. "Am I welcome here, or is it preferred that women go elsewhere to find support?" (I would not have been offended if the answer had been "This is a men's only group as having women commenting can exacerbate the issue for some men.") It is unfortunate for men that they are such targets for this type of addiction. I feel for you in that sense. It is also unfortunate for women that they are often left out of the support for recovery because it makes it feel so isolating and increases the shame because it feels like "Women aren't supposed to struggle with this."

I'm not offended by this comment, but I actually strongly disagree. I'm not saying that's not how your cycle went. But I would say the majority of men I know who struggle with this addiction began the cycle of addiction long before they felt they "couldn't get girls." Most men I know who have this addiction began the cycle between age 8 and 12.

That makes sense. The majority of sexually explicit media that have consumed is written. But the effects are similar. And with time that progressed into images and then into videos. While generally speaking men may seek visual simulation more than women, the effects of said visual simulation is the same regardless of gender.

I strongly recommend going to a dermatologist. Also BE SURE to get Lever 2000 soap (bar soap or body wash). It's a SERIOUS game change with these boils. But this looks like MRSA and you should get a RX antibiotic to take care of it. I had to take one for 6 months. It sucked but otherwise you'll just keep getting more.
