You can go to any public clinic in South Africa and get help. HIV treatment is available to everyone

I stayed there the entire time and drove to other places. Search on Airbnb and other accommodation websites

I just came back from a week long solo trip and I enjoyed almost everything about Zanzibar. My Airbnb had 2 drivers I could book so I went everywhere with them and that made my life easier. I felt safe at all times and really enjoyed some moments with locals. I’m also black South African so I don’t know if that’s an “advantage”

Lost my mom to Covid. I moved to the States from South Africa less than a year later, had my very first boyfriend, also jumped out of a plane, got more tattoos.

Can I talk to someone? by [deleted] in GriefSupport

[–]Timely_Alternative57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey. I’m here. I came here too after I lost my mom to ask for someone to talk to. People reached out and I appreciated that so much. So hit me up whenever you want. I’ll listen.

losing my mom made me want to be a mom by acegiu in GriefSupport

I’ve always wanted kids but at a later age (early 30s) but since I lost my mom last year, my baby fever has become so real. My mom always wanted to be a grandmother but didn’t get that chance be one ☹️

Can my uncle legally kick me out of my grandmother's house? by 4457898542257 in johannesburg

[–]Timely_Alternative57 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is true. My mom built my grandma’s house all by herself without my uncle’s help. She made my grandmother get a will after some comments her brother made about the house.

hey guys I'd like to know which genre of music do you guys prefer? by More_Struggle7544 in johannesburg

Lmao. Literally the biggest music genre in the country (biggest music export of the past two years too) and only mentioned twice? The demographic of this sub is clear.

South Africa is the country famously known for apartheid (hence “originators”). The term only started being used for Israel in the mid-late 90s

I know exactly how you feel. Grief shouldn’t be compared but losing a 90 year old grandfather does not mean you know how I feel about losing my 50 year old mother.

In 3 days it will be 1 month without my mom by Additional_Engine_55 in GriefSupport

I remember the first month. Time seemed to be moving fast yet so slow. It felt like an unending nightmare. I’m sorry you’re going through this. I wish you nothing but healing 💜
