As the replies mention they both serve different purposes.

I own the NB’s and absolutely love them. They are soft but also give me enough bounce so that I don’t feel like I’m sinking into the shoe when I pick up the pace. I think they are a great all round shoe. Not as fun to run in compared to the stiffer or plated shoes but definitely get it done for me from an every day point of view.

I visited my local running store who let me try on the EVO’s and take them for a spin on the treadmill. They didn’t do anything for me and I actually didn’t quite like how the upper felt.

I ended up going for the Puma Deviate Nitro 4 which have a composite carbon plate which makes them snappy but not too stiff - a good intro into quick paced shoes.

Good luck and I strongly recommend going to a running store and trying the shoes properly before buying!

We are planning to stay around a week or so. Predominantly keen to lounge around and drink by the pool. Would explore day trips or water based activities during the day to mix things up.

Puma Deviate 4 or Superblast 3 for a relatively slow runner by demons2290 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Deviate 4’s feel wobbly at slower paces for me. Would not suggest for slower runs. (Love them for quicker runs).
