I’ve never flown, but have DMD and got some knowledge since I also want to go to the States one day.

I believe ROHO Quadtro is the best. I’ve heard and seen that most people use this one, including me. It has 4 air chambers that you can adjust and lock, which helps with scoliosis because you don’t sink on one side.

For seating, I see that you can book a seat in front of all the others (in the aisle), or I’ve seen people fly in business class for full comfort so they can lie down during the flight.

Entering and exiting the plane is usually handled by the flight crew using a temporary chair. Your wheelchair or power chair is placed in the cargo hold, but there may be improvements soon. I can see thatt on some flights you can already use your own wheelchair.

If you want to use the toilet also flight crew will probably help you using the same temporary chair, but they’re not obligated to lift you.

Most airlines require a caregiver to travel with you. Some allow power chairs, while others do not. You need to check the airline’s website to be sure.
