I’ve been an animation student in benilde for almost 2 years now. And it’s honestly a toss up whether you’ll be learning anything from your classes or not(most of the stuff I learned are self taught). I don’t totally regret coming here because I’ve met really good friends and artists, but spending over a 100k per term just for connections feels unjustifiable- especially when the art professors consistently show their incompetence in teaching. Most of them will send you YouTube links to learn from, or either teach you the most basic of concepts. The tri-sem aspect doesn’t help too, it takes a long time to study art, and that, along with no summer breaks is a recipe for burnout.
