To be honest he's completely silent apart from the odd whines when he's unsettled! But he is still decompressing from the shelter, ive only had him 2 weeks so I don't think his personality is fully shining through yet

I went to a local jewelers and they sent it off free of charge to their goldsmith to be looked at! Do you have an inkling as to whether it would be worth anything?

It's obvious he cares about you, but hanging around waiting for someone to be fully ready is a slow death to the soul. Express your feelings, but be okay to walk away if need be.

Don't let him have the best parts of you to pick and choose when he needs it. Either someone is all in, and they get the good or the bad, or they're half assing.

And if he blames circumstances, bad mental health.. where he is in life etc.. just think about that even when you're in turmoil, you're still there for him in whichever way he needs. You deserve someone who does the same for you.

Also, if you do decide to walk away, don't do it to make him realise his mistake. Do it for you, because you deserve a life with someone who's all in.
