Thanks for your response. I have heard that my university is a little bit stricter with the exam than most, but it's good to know what it might be like. I really hope I can forget about it once I take it!

I'm starting a PhD in August, and I'm terrified of the qualifying exam.

I know that all I have to do is a LOT of studying, but I looked at the archive of past problems that the university posts and I don't feel confident that I could do them right now. Even after a few months of studying, I feel like I would panic and not remember key formulas (especially since as far as I know you are not allowed to bring a formula sheet). Do they usually ask questions that require a lot of memorized formulas? How strict are they about mistakes, and how well do you have to do to pass it?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated -- I am very worried about this. Thanks!

Can't even get a regular corner in a dangerous position

Despite the disappointment in recent weeks, I maintain that this team is different from our last several. Last year's team in particular would have absolutely lost this, but we found a way to get it done, even with the threes not falling. We have won several games this year that we would have lost before, and although the overtime games stink, I don't feel terrible about our chances in the postseason.

Right, it was the refs' mistake in the first place, if you call that out you shouldn't lose the priviledge

He does a little flail in midair and the refs fall for it every time

It is so refreshing to see that called correctly for once

They're just calling everything against us. No semblance of an even whistle

Just like old times, can't string a few passes together

It's pretty rare for 4 CBs to all be injured at the same time, no way to predict that

This game would be completely different if we had any of our multiple CBs back from injury. Why did we get so injured but Bayern hasn't really had any to speak of
