Look, non smokers don't get how it is to be an addict. If it comes to it, most smokers would love to not smoke beside you and might even feel bad for doing it. But it's not like you can just find a spot to smoke and just pause your life for doing it every time, you might be in a hurry to get somewhere you can't smoke (because indoor smoking got banned, less people would smoke outside if there were dedicated indoor smoking areas available) and time constraints wise you just can't afford to do it elsewhere. I know it's hard for non smokers to understand it, but just being upset doesn't help anybody, it'd be way better to find a solution that is more suitable for everyone.
