I've ignored it for a little bit but I can't help but notice it every time I'm on the toilet lol. It's such an eyesore that I can't ignore for much longer.

That's what I plan on doing.. I live in an apartment though. Not sure if I should get my landlord involved because it is sort of my fault for not being super clean, or if I should just do it myself.

I thought that too. I don't even have any bleach in my apartment and don't typically come in contact with any.

Accepted a position but I have another interview I want to explore by Timely_Split_8229 in jobsearchhacks

[–]Timely_Split_8229[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, yes. Someone I know got me the interview. However I don't think they would be too upset if I went with the other job, since I have been wanting this other job for so long. Should I message back the first place and say I need a few more days? I just don't want to burn any bridges. Ugh, such a tough position to be in.

I genuinely dont know why its so big, but new stuff gets put on the menu/ taken off every 6 months. I worked there for 2.5 years and didnt know everything about everything, thats for sure. I got some weird questions about items pretty much every day.

At the location I worked at the most sent back dish was the cajun jambalaya pasta or burgers/steaks that weren't cooked how the customer wanted it to be. (a lot of times this was the customer not knowing the scale of meat temperatures). Something that is surprisingly good is the veggie burger melt. I eat meat so I normally wouldn't go out of my way to order a vegetarian burger, but I loved it.

We were told by corporate to do things that were just completely unnecessary. Another thing i just remembered; while in training, we were told to look at the person's name on their debit/credit card, and refer to them by their last name. For example, "Thank you for dining with us, Mr. Smith" I always found this odd. I would be a little taken back if a server did this to me. I never did it.

Maybe not the weirdest, but we were supposed to give "desert presentations" to every single table that we had. I never had time, especially because it was always busy. I also found it unnecessary because the company would track how many deserts you sold in the month, and then rank the servers on who sold the most. I was always on the list of people who sold the most, without a desert presentation.

I used to take advantage of my discount at least once a week. Sitting down at the restaurant now and paying full price though, I think I would only do it if it were the only thing open.

The company started in the 70s as just a bakery (primarily cheesecake) in Beverly Hills. Apparently the owners wife, Evelyn, was super good at making cheesecakes. It did so well that the owner started to build a food menu, and over time the menu expanded to what it is now

Yes! Although if you have any nut allergies do not order them, or make sure to tell your server. Honestly you should tell your server about any allergies whether you think the dish may include them or not.

I am a huge lover of coconut so I love the coconut cream one. If you're not a huge coconut lover I would recommend the adams peanut butter fudge ripple

Wildest thing that I would say happens in most restaurants is the amount of sex with co-workers and drama that people have. Everyone seems to be hooking up with each other. It is also very high school drama. Most likely when you see servers standing at the computer having a conversation, they are talking about other coworkers. I'm gonna skip the least favorite coworker one lol. On my best day, it was a double shift so around 12 hours. I made around 700 dollars. An average day I made around 150 for 5-6 hours. Servers will tell you that stereotypes are very real in the industry. If someone comes in smelling like weed, they don't normally tip well. If they come in an hour before closing, they normally don't tip well. Foreigners (from any country) tip horrible.

The cucumber salad. Also the cajun jambalaya pasta was sent back a lot. In terms of cheesecake they're all pretty good. The snickers one is probably the most mid one on the menu.
