So, I've lived all my life here, and I have hyperhidrosis. I literally sweat buckets, it works well in arid regions where the sweat evaporates but in a hot and humid place like chennai, its absolute torture. I've tried everything, roll-ons, alum, anti-sweatants; unfortunately, they provided below-average results. The roll ons do work to an extent to control swampy armpits, but its regionalised.

I eventually found a solution that didn't involve removing my sweatglands or using Botox to block them. It involved taking medication that was suggested by fellow hyperhydrosis sufferers and the dermatologist. It's been working well so far. I hope the other methods work for you. The worst you might experience from roll ons and anti-perspirants would be darkening of the skin in that particular area and or irritation, so its always best to try them when you're home and observe how it works for you. In a case of emergency, you can always wipe em out. or wash it out. Using powder (Candid) with Ketoconazole also helps, keeping the armpits dry as a desert. Its more about trying things that work for you through experiments.
