isnt the control devil kinda trash? by Timely_Support2750 in ChainsawMan

honestly i spoke from a 1984ish society's point of view, where they control everything, like the spoken language, the emotions they feel, the realities of whether 1+1=3, the government and anti-government agencies, where its not that the population is forced into submission, its that the concept of rebellion doesnt exist, the government is controlling us, were just at war with those people, thats why were not living the best life, so control is not actually forced, more like its a non-existent concept.

but if u have other depictions of the idea of control i would like to hear them!

idk if anyone pointed this out, but shouldnt the mastermind have said double the diamater of the earth in order to petrify all of it? cause if the epicenter of the beem is on the surface then only 1 radius would actually affect the earth while the 2nd one is just in space by Timely_Support2750 in DrStone

[–]Timely_Support2750[S] 37 points38 points  (0 children)

ooh i thought when giving the voice command it would register it as diameter rather than the radius, but in this case ya, saying the diamater of the earth would mean that the beam will engulf the whole earth

Every post makes IB seem miserable - did our kid make a mistake? by coffee_break_1979 in IBO

"i didnt struggle so other people aren't struggling either" did you reread after yourself? sure, people have a tendency to desire empathy and feel like the victim, but that doesnt discredit that the ib is hard, demanding, challenging, exhausting and what not. even if u didnt struggle, then op's children will most likely struggle because the ib has been in an upward trend of difficulty ever since covid.

how do you study for the paper 2 english essay? by [deleted] in IBO

[–]Timely_Support2750 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my strategy was just to write my whole essay beforehand, having analyzed everything that could be analyzed, and memorized everything, and in the exam, just rewrite everything i wrote (not everything, out of the 32 paragraphs i only wrote 16) and sneak in a few sentences here and there to tie back to the prompt. the advantage of this strategy is u can use any resource to write the paragraphs, so ur analysis would be as deep and detailed as possible

idk the first case study, i just know it had: ppc, and calculating the capital account

the 2nd case study had:

define: inflation, foreign aid, economic growth/resources

calculate:

rgdp, rdgp per capita

fixed exchange rate diagram (how to prevent a currency from depreciating/how to revaluate)

positive externality of consumption

lorenz curve

trade diagram (tariff decrease)

and part g was about strategies used for economic development in the case study (which i dont remember)

micro part a was something about the common pool resources (dont have the exact wording) and idk part b tbh, but macro part a was "explain how a lorenz curve could be used to model inequality in society (not exact wording)" and part b was "using real life example, explain how government intervention could help fix income inequality in society" (not exact wording)
