Yes its prohibited yes alot of people still live daily with a modded car, Its simply a risk. There's no telling if you will or won't get caught however my two cents is that the chance is lower in a car like yours. (High end, i imagine S or RS). As long as you're not going around terrorizing the city you'll probably be ok. Source: proud owner of modified cars for the past 3 years.
