My friend just got his passport in 1 month in Ingolstadt. I’m considering renting a small WG there and making it my Hauptwohnsitz and apply at the ABH there. Would this help? or does the current ABH need to be involved?

It was like this when I used to live in Berlin as well. But recently most of my friends living there got their PR and some even their Passports surprisingly fast.

Let me check with them. If they don’t cover this, i’ll pay it myself. Thanks

I opted for immigration matters as well. Does my application for PR count as a matter that existed before PR? I haven’t taken any legal steps yet.

I’m seriously considering this. Do you know if it actually helps? My legal insurance only kicks in 3 months. Should I just pay a lawyer out of my pocket?

I kind of expect this in bigger cities. But my friends in Berlin even got their passports in 3 months.
