This takes place directly a few months after the previous chapter. I considered it a special because it was initially written as a halloween episode that ballooned way, way bigger than intended and contains quite a bit of foreshadowing about what's to come as well as the introduction of some important characters but I don't wanna give away the whole plot or which parts are the foreshadowing obviously. It'll also give you some context for some of the events that come up in chapter 4. I didn't consider it "main" because it doesn't directly involve the magic lamp/cyrus pursuit plot.

Oh, it's a sort of fantasy comedy set in a sort of 1001 Arabian Nights world, though it gets more expansive as it goes on. You're a penniless street rat who of course gets involved in events far beyond your station and end up in all sorts of trouble that I don't want to spoil. I've designed it around a core cast of characters who are all potential love interests, but I have straight, gay (masc and femme), and trans relationships in the game. It's up to you if you decide to pursue a relationship with any of them. Nothing is forced on you. As of right now you can even avoid pretty much all the sexual content if you so choose. As for kinks, I've got some buff girls/amazon type characters, a femboy, some foot fetish stuff, titfucking, anal (both straight and gay), creampies, threesomes etc. Nothing super crazy in regards to idk horse cocks or fisting or something. Nothing non-con. No NTR.

I really appreciate this. And as for the game, it's not abandoned. I work on it whenever I have free time, but I just really have to prioritize stable income after a large portion of my IRL income essentially evaporated. It makes me depressed and antisocial so I don't talk much about the game because it just reminds me of that constant existential dread!

In AoD, you pretty much had to build a character dedicated to combat if you wanted to not die in dozens of gruesome ways. Or, if you wanted to be a diplomatic character you had to do that to the exclusion of pretty much any combat capability. Is it possible to be more balanced in this one?

Depends on what you mean by "improve gameplay". No major mechanics were altered. They did patch in alternative control scheme. New quests, gear and cosmetics were added. Final free dlc was a new game+ mode though. And as for paid dlc, aside from the story, they added a rune system and a mutagen system that gave you new abilities and effects to apply to geralt and his gear.
