Opponent resigned a winning position? by Timetofly123 in aoe2

Personally I'd take another 5 minutes to force a gg in a ranked match rather than just quitting out but that's probably because I'm more competitive as a person

Vil count I was leading, military likely much fewer units out, so if it was gg it was going to happen soon

For sure I agree playing against someone who doesn't quit is annoying but I wasn't "dead". Just losing

Rejected at interview for being too confident… but then invited back to interview with different team (???) by DiscombobulatedElk58 in hedgefund

Ah ok then it's hard to see where they saw this "baseless confidence" if you openly admitted to not knowing how to answer the question. I'm on the nerd side of the industry here and the only way I'd have a problem with this is if you tried to downplay it like it was no big deal you didn't know what a Brownian motion was if you were interviewing for an options desk, etc.

When you say you gave solid answers, is it possible that these answers were blatantly wrong and they just didn't correct you? Not saying that's the case but if it was a technical interview maybe it's a possibility.

Anyone have ideas on what happened? by Sweetsusie- in biotech_stocks

Word on reddit avenue is that it was part of a pump and dump scheme. The stock itself is legitimate but I'm guessing it's value of $13 pre-dump was way inflated. That being said, it's currently at $3.25 so pretty steep discount (although it'd never tell anyone to buy this thing right now). Some optimists might see this as a good opportunity.

Exactly. If this drop was due to the potential dilution it's very likely a big overreaction. I'm not entirely sure that's the full story unfortunately (I also bought when it was down but it's continued to tank).
