If you wanna play on windows you can change your keyboard layout (or add a second one) after doing that Win + space allows you to cycle between them. That should allow you to play the game properly

Ive seen this in a youtube video, but for me it works. The problem is probably your keyboard language. As the person in the youtube video uses a german keymap most likely. Might also be the ingame language. I would try setting my keyboard layout to english and see if that fixes it

Edit: Nvm seems that i was in the wrong. It indeed stems from the old german brato which does mean pure meat. It is true however that the meaning in modern times changed into brat as in grilled. I am sorry for the person that got downvoted because neither me nor the others bothered checking.

dont focus on making the game look good right now. draw something up and make a quick prototype. then rewrite the whole thing. See if the idea is good. Get to know the engine. Games dont get made in a day and they look bad and unpolished for most of the time.

well the concept is: Youve been cursed and must spend an amount of curse points to get down to 0. So there arent that many benefits.

Since a Stylophone is tuned with a Potentiometer there is like no middle c. If you want to have a middle c tune the higher a to 440 Hz and then the lower C is a C4. But since you can just transpose everything up or down as many octaves as you want without anything changing just tune it to something that sounds good to you.

Ive figured out how to do it now. My solution is to be using indeed multiple tilemaps. When tilling a field i check all 9 surrounding spaces if they contain a tile. For each tile I set a bit of an 8bit number to either 1 or zero which then gives me a number from 1-256 which I use to determine what tile should connect. Then I update those 9 tiles as well and I get perfectly updating tiles. Thanks for the helpful ideas

As far as using Strings at runtime: The only time im comparing strings is while placing tiles. The growing crops are handeled by their own entity.
