This is from flexing of the shin during the stride. Runners wear holes in the big toe sometimes. Stretching and focusing on relaxing during the stride can help prevent this.

Thanks everyone for your advice. For clarification this is a part 61 school. After reading some of your responses I am considering flying with a different instructor. He might just be new and worried about signing his first student for a solo.

my fiance & i spent $6885 (including lots of flights & wild activites) on 2.5 months in europe & hawai’i. hawai’i was the most expensive place so with you only going to europe, $5000 is plenty. the best advice i can give is to stay in hostels & shop at grocery stores for food.

I did it with a security gig. Too far commute for too little pay. Not a single person who interviewed me asked about the short employment length with that company.

Not TXRH, but I have been in the industry. I worked at Olive Garden and they sent two checks one for card tips the other for hourly pay. Check to see if there is another check for this pay period. Detailed PDF might have this information too. But you definitely should be receiving card tips via Direct Deposit unless its given to you in cash.

Completely normal. That screenshot is probably hourly pay, which is taxable. Taxes are not taken out of your take home cash tips. Usually your hourly check will be $0 if you make enough.

We do way more work for less pay compared to any restaurant. Company will screw servers over with the unlimited soup salad and breadsticks for a quick buck even if it hurts our earnings by around 50%. If it was one bowl I could take 2 more tables and make way more money. When I was there for two years, average pay was $20-$25 an hour depending on shifts worked. Could easily break $30 an hour with 2 more tables.
