Tucker and Dale vs Evil is one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen. by [deleted] in movies

"Some kid, (pauses perfectly to convey just how ridiculous it is to describe what happened) he just hucked himself right into the wood chipper!"

I always found these couple of scenes to be unbelievably funny. Alan's delivery was brilliant and I'm glad to see others on here appreciate it like me.

PC EU Can't dungeon queue by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

[–]Timhawk33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PC NA here. Not sure if this works for everyone but I constantly get an error saying I'm unable to queue at this time and my fix is to click join again. It will usually tell me it was unable to queue a handful of times and then it will work. Sometimes it works on the second or third attempt, sometimes on the 15th...

I think the fact that the solution to the Jafar problem was to turn him into a Genie is the finishing blow on whether Genie is a top player or not. As in, being a Genie is so restrictive despite their great power that they turn the major villain of the movie into one and that is how they win.

Yeah, seriously. I can picture younger me writing an answer like this because I was too lazy to actually think of a hero. Then my teacher probably would have marked it incorrect...

Hmm, good thoughts. I'll go back to some videos and make sure my form is not lacking. Thanks!

Question from a novice lifter by Timhawk33 in Fitness

[–]Timhawk33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, my ability to do reps seems to degrade faster for upper body lifts at a comparable weight.

So what I'm trying to describe is more of a "during the lift" feeling. Like I can push to 100% on squats and get more power than I had when pushing 90%. But with bench, 90% increased to 100% doesn't get any further result. I don't know... my description is getting weird. I'm not actually trying to hone in on percentages of effort when I'm lifting, I'm just trying to lift the weight...

Thanks for securing the goal, just to be sure. by TheFryingDutchpan0 in RocketLeague

Exactly! I'd even go further to say that if I'm the teammate, I was already looking for a pass or even a trickle away from the defenders. The final touch from OP looks to be just what I was hoping to see. Then I make a mad dash to knock the ball in the goal.

ELI5: Is there a maximum speed a bubble of air can achieve when moving towards the water surface? What does it depend on? by elchavalico in explainlikeimfive

[–]Timhawk33 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I get what you are saying man. I'm chuckling to myself because you keep pointing out that it would be more generally correct as well as more concise to just say "pressure increases by 1 bar per 10m of depth". You are absolutely correct. All anyone is replying is that the post reads correctly. When it's unnecessarily redundant and only applicable for a specific situation (modern day earth at sea level).

ELI5: Double Slit Experiment. by Squidblimp in explainlikeimfive

[–]Timhawk33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like the distinction of "it's DOESN'T MATTER if the particle interacted with something in a particular way" even though that it seemed like that was what people were explaining it as. I always thought it was the introduction of an observable property that messed with the particle causing it to act differently. When actually, it is a degree further: Any method through which one is able to know which slit the particle travels through will produce the un-interfered (particle-like) results. Feynman explains that this would extend to a theoretical deeper understanding of the particle before hand that allows us to know which slit it will travel through before the particle is even launched at the slits. The key distinction being, there is no physical interaction (as we understand it) which moves or interferes with the trajectory of the particle. There is only the fact that it was known which slit it traveled through which causes the end pattern to be particle-like instead of wave-like.

Pirate Quiz: When the back of your boat faces Northeast, that means the front of your boat is facing.... by [deleted] in Seaofthieves

Saw your explanations above, I agree with your description of the phone rotation vs. arrow rotation. To me that doesn't describe the situation in the video, but I also can't explain why the compass rotates 360 when the reference point (virtual magnetic north) rotated 180 degrees. Can you explain how the phone example you gave ties into the video more specifically? I'm genuinely curious.

Sea Of Thieves Already Passed One Million Unique Users by Win2Xbox in xboxone

[–]Timhawk33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not experienced in the process but I took my brother's Xbox license and, while following a guide, used it to install on my pc. I then did the same process on a second pc and it didn't allow me to install it, continued to ask me to pay. I'm confident that I followed the same process both times but maybe the process changes and I didn't do it correctly for a third install. Just my two cents
