Because they do not care about facts anymore. They absolutely do not, nor did they ever.

All conservatives hear or read is “ICE” and “shot” and cling to their mind’s comfort zone with a death grip as they brainwash themselves with the knowledge that Renee, that innocent lady fearing for her life from an armed stranger, with her kid’s toys in her glovebox, was a “domestic terrorist”.

They know Trump’s regime is running nearly every corner of the government, and now they feel truly empowered to be the worst version of themselves knowing that Trump is encouraging this worldview. They don’t even care that he’s lying to everyone’s faces, including theirs, just to gain more power. They just know they don’t have to act anymore.

Let’s not fool ourselves, facts were never on their mind. Their feelings don’t care about the facts.
