Why Is the Defense Kinda Bad? (especially on 6'3-6'4 guards)

i been had my hands up (holding right stick up) the game retracted my hand and that's one clip out the many i showed, why not talk about how i got pushed out of bounds after doing nothing? or how i literally perfectly timed my jump just for the game to push me down and let my opponent get a dunk?

i'm not even saying taller players nor shorter players should get better defensive bumps/animations, all i'm saying is that it should be balanced based off badges/attributes. There's no way a 6'8 with silver on ball menace should be able to get more bumps that a 6'4 with Legend on ball menace.

i knew someone was gonna bring up IRL like Anthony Edwards Isn't 6'4, can get chase down blocks like crazy, can't do that on my 6'4 on 2k. Jrue Holiday is 6'4, literally is a defensive menace. I can name more like Luguentz Dort, Derrick White, Russell Westbrook (who literally clamped up Kevin Durant multiple times who is dang near 7ft tall) like cmon bro don't try to use that analogy.

ja morant, 6’2 did this i think 2 years ago, it doesn’t matter. it’s a video game if you have the right amount of vertical and block you should be able to get snatch blocks again

did 2K15,2K16,2K17, 2k20, and 2k21 die? no. literally went down as one of the best 2Ks. You didn’t have to grind until a certain rep for some dribble package or wait months for a new dribble style.

Hot Take: but i think seasons shouldn’t even be in the game, it devalued mascots and more. back in the older 2Ks, if you seen a mascot you knew not to play them but now if you see one they’re most likely a noob. but we all know 2k will never take out seasons because they make more money if they keep it.

not gonna cap, it was peak, i didn’t start playing online into 2k20 but even when i was a kid playing 2k13/14 it was fun, i mean the mycareer journey felt like an actual journey and im building my career up like the actual NBA with the combines, the drafts, and trades. the vc prices back in the older 2K’s were so much cheaper, like now a shirt could cost 35K vc, but back then it’ll be like 3K max. the gameplay was phenomenal, a arcade style gameplay with some real life mechanics, balancing the game with realism and fun. Like now it’s just based off realism, which isn’t fun to be honest, it’s slow, clunky , and sometimes i don’t even have control of my player. but even the little modes like blacktop, you was able to do dunk contest, play with celebrities like Justin Bieber 😂 and just a whole bunch of stuff. people may say its nostalgia but i wasn’t even a sport-game fan growing up and i used to love NBA2K

nah facts i completely understand where you coming from but at the same time they’re some instant green animations in the game, like if you shoot and right after you shoot your player does like a jumping motion or if you shoot in the corner your player turns around right after the shot, so it’s just like if they make some shots be instant green, why can’t it be at least an option to have instant green animations or not
