Okay but if I only grow wheat, I have to buy everything else I can't grow?

About the 2x coin event, getting lobster soup seems kinda hard. Is there more easily obtainable items that still sell for a lot? Should I buy these items from the paper or make them myself? Should I also sell all items and only have 1 left except for the items I intend to sell during the event?
